I think Richard Hughes grossly underestimates the longterm damage keeping Slot employed will have on the fanbase. This isn’t just something they can take a stab at next season & go whoops we got it wrong & have everything behind them.

I get the tragedy has played a huge role in performances this season. But they they lambasted Salah, blame his lack of effort, poor attitude and form as the reason Liverpool are bad, but Slots underperformance should be shown grace because of Jota.

no that’s how you think.. using Jota’s death and “mitigation” factors. You blamed Salah earlier in the season. You think having Wharton and pacy wingers will solve the problems when underlying data shows Slot has failed to improve/use the players.

Not to mention, turning Anfield from a cauldron into a breeding ground for clubs to regain their form.

Morton, Harvey, Jones, Salah, management of Ngumoha, management of the academy players, lineups, rotational decisions, running players into the ground until their form/body deteriorates, training, & my personal favorite, a complete lack of accountability.

As a 52 year old simpleton, I'd never have thought of that on my own and I now understand the appropriate role of a supporter.

@sirkenndalglish I’m perfectly fine with no penalty if both Davies & White’s handballs are also not penalties by the way, so I agree with you they’re given out too freely. It’s just far too harsh if they’re saying a ball deflected from body to hand is a pen but this isn’t bc of who plays it.

Bayern could not possibly have scored without the ball
That’s why the rule exists
Penalties are given out too freely as it is, these players think their just entitled to the best chance of the game

There is simply no way this can’t be a penalty based on the bar set on Davies’/White’s penalties of just a week ago. This is a penalty, not even a question.

@BeautifulGameJS its a penalty explicitly, and no the rule shouldnt be adjusted, its an unexpected ball by teammate, bayern didnt even threaten the goal at all here, a penalty is way more shameless
