@AndrewYang I'd rather work in a job that i enjoy, i don't want my life to go to waste waiting for UI and then begging the state for more money because I can't afford rent

This might be hard to believe, but in Japan, a salaryman wakes up at 6 AM. He commutes for an hour. Standing. In a train so packed he can't move his arms. He works 9 to 6. Then he stays until 10. Nobody leaves before the boss. Then he drinks with his boss until midnight. Saying no is a career decision. He catches the last train home. Falls asleep standing up. He gets home at 1 AM. He wakes up at 6 AM. The Japanese word for "death from overwork" is karoshi. It needed its own word.

I notice that Jeremy Vine covered my story this morning about the Reform UK prize fix. He had Anne Widdecombe on and asked her about it in a joking fashion, and Anne was comfortably allowed to bat it away as a conspiracy, despite being shown the picture I found of her and Raymond Dibble together. I suppose I should be grateful for a name check, he called me 'critics on the internet'. 😂 Surely, that's slightly disparaging to Byline Times, who ran it on their front page for four days. But it's just another Reform UK day whereby they fix a competition in an election period, and have it laughed off by our media. I've published the piece as an 𝕏 Article now as well so you tell me. Does this not stink? Article Link: x.com/donmcgowan/sta…

The story of Metro 2039 is one that I long wanted to tell, but it had to wait for the reality to catch up. So now it doesn’t seem to be a dystopia or science-fiction any more. Now it is relevant to everyone.

@BladeoftheS Imagine stressing to get a loved one to a&e, thinking about parking charges are the last thing on anyone's mind. Then you could lose that someone and be met with a parking fine. Fucking parasites!

@JosephKahn I love the cinema, but I can't deal with ignorant, loud, check your mobile every 10 minutes, unwrapping the loudest sweet wrapper ever in the quietest scene, asking what just happened, turds!

The solution to the theatrical problem is very simple. Extend the time before it goes to streaming. Make it 180 days. 6 months. If you don't watch it in theaters you won't get to see it for a long time. Studios have devalued their product by letting the consumer know there's no urgency. They're going to see it for "free" later. They've cheapened the business into a buffet and violated basic supply and demand.

I know parents are worried about social media and its impact on their children’s safety. They rightly expect fast action. Today, I’m calling on senior leaders from X, Meta, Snap, YouTube and TikTok to step up. I will do whatever it takes to keep children safe online.

This guy has no job, uses drugs daily, and drifts from party to party. He's a hedonist with depression. He's never worked a real job. He's never known real struggle. He's a larping psyop.

Clavicular says men aren't supposed to be happy. "I have no regard for my own happiness, men aren't supposed to be happy, life is hard, work isn't enjoyable, the gym isn't enjoyable, but it needs to be done, if you want to succeed to the highest level you can't prioritize being happy"

Woman who lives only 1.6 miles from the META Data Center in Wisconsin speaks out She says their water system has been completely destroyed She says there is discharge that turns the entire river white like milk. She paid for testing and found extremely high heavy metal levels “I live on a horse farm and I am an educator. I, for almost four 50 years, a natural creek has flowed through my property. It's 20 feet wide, up to four feet deep. It has persisted through drought, flood, seasonal change. It's part of a connected system. Groundwater, tributaries, watersheds, aquifers ultimately flowing into Beaver Dam Lake. Until construction began upstream on the data center, its behavior was stable and predictable After construction started, all of that changed. Here in Beaver Dam, the creek began to stop flowing entirely without rainfall. It would abruptly return off in cloudy and opaque like milk, with enough force to cause drastic erosion and damage — Water testing on my property shows elevated strontium, a very dangerous metal, and other indicators consistent with deep groundwater influence”

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.
Angela Rayner@AngelaRayner

My pleasure to welcome @Keir_Starmer @AndyBurnhamGM and @bphillipsonMP to Holy Trinity primary school in Ashton this morning. 33 new free breakfast clubs will open across Greater Manchester this week, giving 10,000 more children a free, healthy start to the school day. That’s Labour on your side. 🌹

At uni, group work, got stuck with slacker for 2nd time. Tutor dismissed concerns/request for assistance. So group agreed to take small hit to grade to watch her flounder on discovering we did NOT do her part of the presentation this time. We HAD warned her. Lesson learned.
