Can anyone justify why my guy sold 28% of his $GOOGL stake to buy 3M shares of Nike $NKE? I know there is a bull cause for Nike as a recovery play and I also know Ackman’s team spends a long time doing DD before they buy anything…but why do you think he got excited to reduce a stake in $GOOGL that he got CHEAP in 2022 for…Nike? My best bet: - China recovery - $LULU and $ONON don’t have the same pricing power over time - Nike’s iconic brand will survive any short term headwinds - Consumer will still pick Nike long term - Olympics will provide momentum (which maybe makes it a trade around the Olympics instead of a name he’s actually long on) WHY IS HE BUYING $NKE?!
