Big picture: Given the counties reporting so far in WI, MI, PA, and AZ...and the counties (mostly urban areas/suburbs) lagging/still to report, Harris is in good shape to win those four swing states and finish with 281 EV. Losing GA + NC would be irrelevant. #election2024

The Universal Service Fund WAS a bipartisan program – and it’s been going strong for decades. Now extreme right-wing judges are pulling the plug on the MILLIONS of families who rely on it for phone & internet service. This is today’s GOP: fighting for higher bills and chaos.

What a downright dumb and misinformed decision by the Fifth Circuit under-cutting the Universal Service Fund which has done so much to connect Americans to the telecommunications they must have to be functioning citizens.

The Fifth Circuit’s ruling against the Universal Service Fund is wrong. It undermines FCC programs connecting our most rural households, hospitals, schools, and libraries. It shows a lack of understanding of the law and hurts our most vulnerable students and communities.

My ten year old daughter drew this and asked me to post it here. I agreed. We are curious what you think. Please ignore if your impulse towards this or me is negativity. Thanks. #daughter #artwork

Allowing school buses to be outfitted with WiFi will give students more opportunities to succeed because it gives those without internet access at home more time to do their homework. @NEAToday fully supports the @FCC proposal to make school buses eligible for the E-Rate program.

I rarely post personal updates, but because I was with so many superintendents in San Antonio a few days ago I am sharing that I tested positive for Covid today. Hopefully those who were near or around me last week stay healthy. It finally got me!

#LAD23 was great today! I love being with such motivated language advocates! We have so much important work to do to advance world lang education policy and $$ in this country, and especially to make the needs of our students and communities known to our Congress members! #NCLG
