@BillyBowss the interesting part here is not “no xcode”, it is turning shipping into a repeatable pipeline. most people use ai like a smarter autocomplete. this is closer to building an internal factory where every painful step becomes a skill.

I just shipped my first iOS app to the App Store without opening Xcode once. No terminal. No IDE. Just Claude Code desktop + 2 words that ate my whole week: Dynamic Workflows. Here’s exactly how 👇

We've doubled usage limits in Claude Cowork for the next month. Delegate bigger, more complex tasks to Claude.

@YashHustle_22 I possess the knowledge but psychologically I can’t open the IDE anymore. My workflow is becoming smoother over time so it’s all about leading rather than coding.

@iatnon @BillyBowss @ClaudeDevs Unfortunately it's the correct answer though. I lasted about 2 days on the 5x plan last summer before needing to bump up to 20x.

@getSortedAppios The « how » will improve with experience. The most important thing is never quit just ship. 👏

@BillyBowss honestly codex is what got me unstuck. it ran the tests and reviews right in my browser, took over xcode when I needed it, and a lot of nights it was just me brainstorming with it til something clicked. without that I'd have quit around screen two.

@getSortedAppios Congrats! You could have fully done it with Claude. You can even do the full setup on the Apple Store Connect website using Claude directly in Chrome. 😁

@BillyBowss shipped my first iOS app the same way as a non-dev. the build was the easy part - the thing that ate my week was provisioning profiles. spent a full day convinced I'd bricked it before realizing it was a checkbox. congrats, first one on the store hits different.

@BillyBowss the “skills as shipping stages” bit is the real unlock here. App Store submission going from dread pile to reusable workflow is a pretty loud signal.

Result: shipped A→Z to the App Store. 0 lines typed in Xcode. 0 terminal commands. 100% Claude Code desktop. The shift isn’t “AI writes code.” It’s AI running defined workflows you design once and reuse. That’s it !

The unlock was the desktop app itself. Every Claude session managed from one place, grouped by project and sorted by recent. I could jump between build, test, and submission contexts without losing the thread. That’s what made “day and night” actually sustainable.

Claude Code with: > Opus 4.8 > Ultracode > Dynamic Workflows > Auto-mode ON ...is amazing. This is the way. I only use it with my Enterprise account. On work that will return material value to my company. I'd use it in my personal account but I don't want my family to be destitute after one prompt.
