It's no good repeating yourself, I acceptbhat gas is the most expensive fuel to make electric, but if we are making wind powered electricity and solar powered electricity, and onfacrion sats we are making too much electricity why is the price of energy sustained at a price level to gas and not free, because the subsidies to clean energy producers are geared to gas prices, you don't seem to get that when the wind blows and the sun shines we are getting free energy with a built in charge

People who want to scrap clean power 2030 neglect the fact that gas is the most expensive generating unit we can use, and that high electric prices are partly driven by high gas prices. If you want to scrap it, then you must explain how your alternative will be cheaper. Drilling the North Sea will not bring down gas prices.

Never in the history of contrived stage managed elections have we seen the hopes of so many invested in so little intellect,Starmer was the hammer to left of his party, Burnham some kind of human dynamo that will keep the wheels on labour, all the while labour backbenchers have been pushing for a socialist leader, my but is do I see Mr Burnham at the despatch box , I do and I don't see any better more accomplished ramblings than now. Starmer is a cheat and a liar, Burnham is not a leader just an executive officer in a thinly disguised team of incompetents.

Well apparently not, your theory is for the birds , AI is the biggest recruitment driver, human brain and muscle is not required these days as there's a brave new world coming , and it doesn't require..... A work force . The Neets Plan , just a ruse to carry another generation in to the dream of " there is future for you."

Decent Prime minister based on what, the human error , the stubbornness ,the lies ( par for the course), his inability to manage the country's expectations, his being managed by mandelson, the embarrassment that we couldn't vessels to sea, the reality that the back benchers are wagging the dog, that his cabinet has inept people at it's head,no I like to be fair but between his numbers illiterate chancellor, power crazed Lammy, home secretary still caught in the headlights. A whole front bench team that have completely stopped answering questions, thinking they are clever , we are absorbing this, but don't be surprised when the dam bursts.

What are the wrongs of Brexit ,what difference did it make to our lives, except Remoaners think life would be so much better today if we were in. On a day to day basis, the only effect it has is more red tape to transport of goods. The argument about growth in the EU is spurious ,loses to the country exaggerated. We voted out because forty plus years in , the "majority" of us had had enough, of directives, fighting our corner, being bullied to do things not in our interests. You want back in chum, start the negotiations , see where that takes us, then let's have a referendum , still out by my reckoning , we would lose the pound , and watch the exchange rate £ to euro plummet on that day , leaving us 15 % worse off on the exchange at least . No it will be a matter of punishment not a celebration of rejoining.

Oh dear when will you open your eyes and ears, when it was a nice Christian country with low level church going on a Sunday morning it was fine , now we have public faith displays , calls to prayer, delays in workplace continuity, and open warfare on Christians . With all religions predicated on the fact that there is a god ,some god, or something that represents a belief system . Nobody wants to face upto its all lies and made up. Except those who understand that the Romans made up a religion called Christianity and mohammed copied it about seven hundred years later.

My thoughts. Contrary to what many politicians expected, the public did not rally behind Brexit once it happened. On the contrary, the costs of Brexit, & the new geopolitical situation, means a majority now want to team up again with our European neighbours northeastbylines.co.uk/news/europe-ne…

@GeorgeFoulkes @bbclaurak Very lame that George, do we actually need a big army , big tanks and an overseas fighting force. If it's defence we want we don't need masses of money. Trim the numbers trim the navy and air force cut out cloth to our actual needs, rather than setting a standard we don't

Whilst you are captain sensible on most things , when our PM went last NATO conference he played his hand that we would increase defence spending to 3.5% by 2030, we will not make it . Well let's have strategic defence review. Why would anyone want to capture this island , of no mineral assets , no strategic importance, poor as a church mouse country . Why do we still want to be part of NATO when it's only to benefit others with less commitments than ourselves, and by the way how many months has russian oil been coming through English channel on ghost ships and why yesterday did they chooses to start doing it, because we are acting tough, where's that ship and it's oil going to are we going to refine and to oil supplies. Watch this space. Because I don't think Putin will be happy that we finally plucked up the courage to stand up a bit for ourselves it can't last.

Simples: Release tens of billions from Ed Miliband’s net zero follies for defence capital investment. Release billions more for day-to-day spending by some tough love for the 10m of working age not working and living on benefits. Plus abandon triple lock. Go through current defence spending like a dose of salts to root out current waste and inefficiency (which is mega). Cull legacy programmes for platforms soon to be obsolete.

Rail nationalisation costs nothing. When franchise contracts with the likes of Nederlandse Spoorwegen, Trenitalia and Deutsche Bahn run out, you simply do not renew them. They revert to public ownership, it costs you zero and you stop seeing that money flood out of the country.

✅ Michael Heseltine on 🔥 “Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage should hang their heads in shame for the damage they caused to Britain by leading the campaign that saw it leave the EU. He said that 10 years on from the EU referendum the “bankruptcy” of their claims that Brexit would bring huge benefits to the UK had been exposed and led voters to believe that it should be reversed. The British public had been “lied” to in a “heinous crime”. Brexit was a “self-imposed disaster” and it is time for Britain to “reclaim our traditional role as a major European nation” and rejoin the EU

Yes but who are you trying to convince, like you cannot renationalise everything ,you can't just go back into the EU. Much as you would like to it's not going to happen, Farage campaigned for exit, he did not put his name to any treaty , that was lord frost and Johnson, proper negotiators would not have so much ground.

Nigel Farage wants to evict foreign nationals and their families from council properties, then deport them if they don’t find alternative accommodation. We’re disgusted. Fortunately, it doesn’t affect me because I was granted British citizenship, but it will impact thousands with ILR status. I advised those eligible to get British citizenship ASAP in case Reform wins the general election in 2029.

Something of a consensus seems to be forming around Brexit: 1) It's not been as bad as the worst predictions 2) It has undeniably been negative 3) No version of Brexit would have turned out net-positive 4) Britain would be better off back in the EU than staying out So rejoin!
