@JeodPM It doesn't!😅But it would be a moot point. Everyone on Team Backpack was working on a lot of different stuff outside their comfort zone at some point. The curse of making a big scope commercial game with a team of 3 people....

Backpack Hero is free on the epic games store for now. If you have a powerful enough handheld you can play it on the go! @BinaryCounter who you might recognize from portmaster composed the music for this game!

@JeodPM The ingame credits lists me under "Team Backpack", lots of hats. I did the music, SFX, some of the code (audio engine, saving system rework, mod support, twitch integration), trailers, German localization, devops (server infrastructure, discord and kickstarter integration)....

I am no longer working at @offbrand_games. People were attacking all of the games we were publishing and trying to mass review bomb them. You can dislike the things I say but this kind of behavior is unhinged.
Learned a lot there, accomplished a lot, hope they succeed regardless. Love those dudes and loved working with them. Hope they keep cooking.

@tssf @KungFuFurby Suckerpinch put a whole Raspberry Pi in a NES cart, blasting raw pixel data over the PPU bus, and then made it run a SNES emulator and ran Super Mario World. Pretty funny concept, but yeah, not really NES anymore.

@KungFuFurby @BinaryCounter I think we're getting a little carried away lol. At what point is it no longer a Genesis or SNES? I mean, like that new NES game that has the chip in it that gives it CD-ROM storage. At that point that's not even an NES anymore, just an 8-bit style game haha. It's fun to theorize

It's a twist on the survivor-like genre, except time stops when you stop and then it turns into a deckbuilder. A lot of chaos, a lot of strategy, a lot of fun!
