With the recent announcement that #samheughan will be performing Macbeth later in the year I thought we could enjoy this theatre throwback.
In 2002, Sam Heughan starred in David Greig's play "Outlying Islands" at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh.
Outlying Islands premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the production garnering a Fringe First award and a Herald Angel award.
Sam's performance earned him a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Performer. The play was revived several times, including at the Royal Court Theatre in London.
The pictures features Laurence Mitchell, Robert Carr, and Sam Heughan performing Outlying Islands at the Traverse Theatre in 2002.
