Opening the Strait is becoming an “ant problem”. Tiny boats, little mines and small drones cannot 100% be stopped; some will get through and it just takes one tiny boat loaded with explosives to sink a VLS full of crude. It’s like keeping the ants out of your house. A hobbled regime now knows they can hobble the world if they’re willing to absorb more attacks.

NEW: US allies do not see a realistic way of reopening the Strait of Hormuz without ending the war. G7 countries have been discussing how they could help Trump. There are conversations about a framework for Hormuz security. The UK has sent military planners to the US for talks. But the reality is these conversations are at a very early stage and US allies are not looking at sending naval assets until the conflict eases. US allies are yet to be convinced there is any credible military plan to reopen the strait. The UK has been in talks with Lloyds of London about insurance products and prices when the situation calms. But even then insurance is not seen as the big issue - it is safety. It marks a widening disconnect between the US and Europe over the war amid concerns Trump ultimately doesn’t have a plan. Meanwhile energy prices are soaring, bonds tumbling and interest rates are set to rise. With @EllenAMilligan @golnarM >> bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

BREAKING: Pete Hegseth just confirmed that he wants $200+ billion of taxpayer money to go to the U.S. military. And he justifies it by blaming Joe Biden. The military industrial complex is real and Trump is part of it.

@Acyn Iran is praying harder to God. I’ve been to the Middle East; they pray constantly to God. Christians and Muslim’s all worship Abraham’s God. So they’re both praying to the same entity.

The piece your missing is how to 100% disable Iran’s Strait blockade. They know they can do it with tiny boats and drones launched from mountains. So now we emboldened them with this strategy. They never attempted before and now it’s like “that was easy”. The nuclear narrative made no sense. Why would they launch a nuclear attack on anyone (remember they would only have fission) when the launch back via fusion would wipe out Tehran.

@RpsAgainstTrump Don’t punish citizens by not going to Starbucks. Much better idea—-It’s a win/win/win if employers allow WFH 2-3 days a week. More $ and time for EE- all the work will get done.

Miller: Secretary Hegseth and the Department of War, we are not fighting a politically correct battle. The hands of our warriors are not tied in getting up and going after the objective, and going after the objective ruthlessly. This is war, and in a war you have to fight totally.

@Cappyarmy We’re seeking involuntary regime change. They can eliminate the assassinations with regime change. Many of these Rev Guard leaders and others have amassed a lot of wealth by stealing from their country. It’s their choice now.

Just thinking here out loud but , The problem with going down the chain from killing hardliner IRGC , to then killing Iran’s Basiji militia , ….to then killing Iranian police officers . You’re reaching a point where you’re no longer killing the leadership , you’re killing the Iranian people and the citizens families , many of whom are just trying to make a living and get by and manning a Basiji Militia checkpoint or police checkpoint doesn’t mean you want the Islamic republic in control. I dunno, what do you guys think ?

Israel has closed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre indefinitely for the first time in the history of Christianity. Holy Week and Easter services will be prohibited. Sunday masses and liturgies cancelled. A church that should be packed with hundreds of thousands these coming weeks is being forcibly shut and silenced. Israel cites it is for ‘security concerns’ while Jewish Israelis are allowed to celebrate in mass gatherings. Alongside the forced closure of Al-Aqsa mosque, reports cite priests aggressively being turned away to perform daily services. Throughout history, wars, tensions, or even the pandemic limited access to the sanctuary, but they had never prevented liturgical celebrations in this central place of Christian faith indefinitely. Christians must not remain silent.

I’ll help. Per Gemini (Google’s smarter than the both of us). The Verdict: If you are building a brand-new generator today, Solar and Wind are the undisputed champions of low cost. However, Gas remains the "expensive necessity" that sets the market price because it fills the gaps when the weather doesn't cooperate.
