@MattSchrader I loved the moment in blockbuster when James Cameron wins the Oscar. It’s like the music crowns the whole story, you don’t need to say much to understand how the arch of the character is completed.

RIP #DouglasTrumbull. Shaped my sci fi dreams from my childhood onwards with his effects work: 2001, Close Encounters, Blade Runner, Star Trek TMP. His brilliant directorial debut Silent Runnings hit me in the gut as a kid and has never left my psyche.
