It’s extremely rare to come across color photos of the old Hollywood sign when it spelled out HOLLYWOODLAND. The sign was built by Los Angeles Times publisher Harry Chandler as an epic $21,000 billboard for his upscale Hollywoodland real estate development. The sign soon took on the role of a giant billboard that was meant to be seen from your automobile. In 1949, LAND was dropped to reflect the district, not the "Hollywoodland" housing development. This remarkable photograph was taken in 1944. I’m thrilled to be part of the new series “Iconic America” currently airing on PBS and tonight it’s screening at the Directors Guild. This was a first. Got a personal note from a casting director after getting close on a big show. Im relatively new to TV auditions but CD has brought me in a few times and while I know they can’t always do this, it’s a good reminder they WANT to see you win. Stay the path.

All my current writing projects are too big to just make happen. SO, I want to make something this year. Do I make a no budget short I could shoot a month from now, star in and cast someone else more famous opposite OR write a micro-budget feature to make in the fall?
