Johnny Eblen explains why he was angry going into the Bryan Battle fight: “I just thought I deserved a rematch [with Costello van Steenis] right away, and I didn’t get that. I had to get another fight and secure an impressive win. I’d just had a long layoff, man. All I’d been doing was training and getting ready for a fight, and once you have so much time in between fights, you just get a little angry—and you need to let that anger out.”

Johnny Eblen reacts to rumors that PFL could rebrand and return as Bellator: “I really like that because Bellator has a history of champions. It’s a great promotion. It’s a great brand name—people know it. I think rebranding it back to Bellator would be great. I don’t think there’s anything to lose, because there’s no real history with PFL other than the tournament, and that’s long gone.”
