@BoydMath I’ve been home with a sick kiddo (ear infection versus the plague) but I heard that STMB was dropping like flies the end of last week!

Today I heard about a school where half the staff is out sick. You’d think that would concern someone but the same thing happened last year so it’s just the new normal now I guess.

@HFXMermaid Oh no! Hope he checks out ok! We’re home sick too, thankfully tho we were able to get in to our family practice to have his ears checked. Red a recheck tomorrow but developed an awful cough through the day. The germs are real!

Spending the day at the IWK. Waiting area is at about half currently. Mostly 2 and under with respiratory. That's what brought us here.

@YHZweatherguy The last 3 months have shown me that we should be prepared for anything! I’ll be refilling the water jugs in preparation for this along with hunting down my power bank.

Lots of discussion on the rapid developments in the tropical Atlantic, with three tropical storms and two "promising" disturbances. At this point, "Franklin" is the only one that has potential to head north towards Atlantic Canada next week. Stay tuned.

Yesterday afternoon I packed myself and my 3 year old a “just in case” bag. I had no clue that would be used less than an hour later. We’re safe. We’re taken care of. But we don’t know what’s to come and that’s terrifying. #TantallonFire

@Tim_Bousquet I’m thankful myself and my son are safe, but the unknown of whether or not we will have a home is a feeling I can’t properly describe.

Right now, obviously, the immediate concern is for people who have lost their homes and animals. So devastating. We need to do what we can for them in the immediate short term. Beyond that, however...

@sujo_dree @nsgov May 9th my baby was diagnosed with autism. He’s currently non verbal. While he’s only 3 years old the idea that some day NS government could one day deny him his education is beyond infuriating and heartbreaking.
