@BatmanJ27190203 @_JonChilds I never did. I said baptism in water is not what saves. Baptism of the Holy Spirit which comes from the Lord Jesus is what saves. Do not put words in my mouth. You must be born again to see the kingdom of God. I'll dust my sandals off now. GBU

@BrotherKevr @_JonChilds no He refers explicitly to the Jewish baptism; one must bathe first, because baptism is not a bath. His revelation that baptism saves rests on Noah's flood. How is it you separate Christ's baptism from his grace?

He never wrote that water saves, you can't show a verse where he did. It doesn't exist. As a matter of fact, in Acts 1, he even says: Acts 1:4-5 NKJV [4] And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; [5] for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” bible.com/bible/114/act.… Yes, we are commanded to be baptized in water, and we should follow in his steps, but it is never mentioned as a requirement to salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9

@BrotherKevr @_JonChilds Christ commands we baptize, in water. Peter tells the men they need to be baptized. He later writes it saves. Paul says it is what puts one into Christ. Jesus says he will reject those who are not. Matt7 Matt22 You have been mistaught.

@TrevorSheatz Following Jesus includes so many things. I appreciate that you're trying to simplify it, but part of loving your neighbor is often exposing the truth that conflicts with deception so they can be set free, and were sent to preach the gospel to every creature and all people.

We never move past the basics of Christianity: • Read your Bible regularly • Talk to God in prayer • Fight against temptation • Gather with the saints • Live in obedience • Follow Jesus

@Ihunanya_chi Why would you say it's immediate? The text doesn't say it is, it just gives a series of steps.

As a Christian, how would you explain this: the Bible says it is appointed for a man to die once and after that comes judgment, which sounds immediate, yet other passages speak about a future day of judgment at the end of time, so which is it? Does judgment happen instantly after death, or later? Let’s discuss.

Peter doesn't say that. He clarifies that it's not the removal of dirt, but a clear conscience toward God. Men can't save, only God can save. Men baptize others in water, God baptizes in the Holy Spirit and fire. Only the forgiveness of sins by grace through faith, or believing / trusting in him, can save.

@BrotherKevr @_JonChilds Peter says it saves, and there is no honest question he means water. Jesus commands us to baptize; what else CAN we baptize people in?

Why do theists think morality only comes from religion? It’s honestly exhausting having to explain this every time…

@BrotherKevr @theerealtao Word salad. You claim that: B(¬G) is equal to ¬B(G) Go ahead and substantiate this obviously wrong claim. Or admit that you were mistaken. Try and deflect again and you'll just show everyone that you can't do it.

Let me break this down for you: None of us have 100% proof of our claims in this conversation, but we believe that our claims are true. My claim: God Your claim: No God Both of these are claims of truth, but neither of us have 100% evidentiary proof of our claims. Therefore, both of us are believing that something unproven is true. That's what faith in the Bible is. Believing that something unproven, with evidence, is true. There is no way to get around this. Trying to spew out a large block of text and using notation isn't going to change this argument. Logic is what logic is.

@BrotherKevr @theerealtao "Saying "that's not how that works" does not make that statement true." Right back at ya, because unlike you who just said "nuh uh" I actually explained it to u. I even went out of my way to write it out in logical notation for u, so u saying "search logic" is incredibly ironic

This is controversial and I didn't realize it until today but here it goes: It is very unlikely King Saul is in Heaven. He murdered the priests of Nob, desolated the Gibeonites, tried to kill his son and David, and the day before God killed him he was breaking the command not to speak to a necromancer. He has no fruit of a godly life, and no evidence of a genuine repentance. He rejected God continuously, had the Spirit taken from him, and was tortured by a demon. His life is a tragedy that grieved Samuel and brought ruin to his family. Yes Jesus can love and forgive anyone. But there's no Scriptural evidence for it with Saul.

The question is why are liberal women sympathetic to Islam. The truth is that liberal women don't see the reality of Islam, they only know what they're told or want to see, and most Muslim people tell all of this fake stuff, not what the Quran really says. They don't know what we know.

I believe in the divine authority of all Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. But when Paul told Timothy that all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, he wasn't referring to his own letters or the gospels. He was only referring to what we call the Old Testament.

@BrotherKevr @SonofManwithus LOOOOOL BRUH. Why does radical Islam behead & slaughter literally everyone in their way then…? Can you explain why the Islamic regime is currently slaughtering thousands of Africans in Nigeria as we speak, for being Christian? Can you explain? *trying to compute*

@BrotherKevr @SonofManwithus “It’s less confrontational” means you have never lived anywhere Islam is the major religion, country ir region. It is much worse than a bible thumping dry county you see only in movies these days. The ones that essentially died out in the 60s
