@MarioNawfal How did the C130 even land in the hostile area? Don't think it landed because it requires a long run way and good luck finding that in Iran lol

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Two C-130s were turned into scrap metal overnight in Iran. The question is, by whom? U.S. experts are in lockstep: Both MC-130J aircraft landed south of Isfahan to extract the rescue team and the downed colonel. They became mired in soft ground. With Iranian forces closing in, U.S. forces blew them up to prevent classified tech from falling into enemy hands. Iran's version: Iranian air defenses shot both aircraft down, killing American personnel on board. Iran released images of what it claimed was a skull found in the wreckage. Those claims turned out false, and instead showed the skull of an Iranian in his Iranian Peugeot Pars. Arya Yadeghaar posted photos of aircraft debris with what appears to be bullet holes and air burst damage on the airframe. Now, which is more likely? The U.S. account is more credible for several reasons. First, this is not unprecedented. In 2011, Navy SEALs deliberately destroyed a Black Hawk helicopter that crash-landed during the bin Laden raid. Destroying your own equipment to protect classified tech is standard operating procedure. Second, CENTCOM confirmed the account with specifics. Third, the operation succeeded. The colonel was rescued. If the aircraft were shot down with crews aboard, the mission would have ended very differently. Fourth, as I mentioned above, the image of the skull is not that of an American serviceman. The damage on the airframe some are pointing to is consistent with both a deliberate destruction using explosives and air defense hits. It proves nothing definitively. Most experts believe the U.S. account, and I do as well.

The "American serviceman's skull" Iran is claiming to have found in the C-130 seems more like the skull of an Iranian in a burned down Peugeot Pars (an Iranian car) that was likely destroyed by American forces during the rescue operation

@skeleglob @unapologet26596 @davegreenidge57 Most of that looks like shrapnel. On top of that, they could have literally showed up and fired at the panels for anything that looks like rounds. They could have been hit by small arms maybe. But everything is right next to eachother. Not scattered miles.

Anyone buying the official version that 2 C130’s got stuck in the sand and had to be destroyed? Because to me that sounds a lot like a laundry room type fire story.

Anyone else think the whole story about C-130s getting stuck in the sand is a lie ? They also lost a little bird helicopter in the same location which makes that story even less believable.

@Tburdy @rdd147 Those birds had JATO. (Rocket engines to take off faster) Exfil would have been really quick and they were specifically designed land on dirt, gravel, sand, and other unprepared, austere surfaces. This is what they were made for. Unfortunately it must have been too much sand.

@rdd147 Why did they take the C130s? With no real runway? Was it like an abandoned airfield that had sand blown all over it? Why didn't they just take the helicopters directly to him?

This is literally what Trump just told you. The US flew in, built a secret US base, landed 2 C130s ran 35 miles to a distant mountain, rescued a severely injured pilot from the mountain travelling 35 miles back by foot across open plain, while engaged in massive night time fire fight. Tried to take off in 2 c130s that got stuck in airport. Kept battling until more troops came and took them away, then blew up the C130s in air.

The "leave no man behind" doctrine is actually a strategic weakness disguised as a virtue. Name one other military on earth that destroys 6 aircraft and fights a ground battle inside a sovereign nation to recover one pilot. You can't. Because no other military confuses tactical sentimentality with strategic logic. Soldiers serve the mission. The mission doesn't serve the soldier. The US has now established that Iran can shoot down an F-15, then watch America spend $300M and expose Delta Force trying to prove it didn't happen. That's not military doctrine. That's politics with weapons. A military that cannot accept the risk of loss cannot win wars. The US hasn't won one since 1945.

Lose all this to rescue 1 pilot and call it your greatest military success of all time.

I have no miraculous story about paying tithing. I have always happily paid it and I have been very blessed in my life with the things I need. Some today are skeptical about payments to the church, but I am happy to make tithing part of my discipleship. #GeneralConference

When 12-year-old Jesus was found by His parents teaching in the temple, He told them that He had been “about [His] Father’s business” (Luke 2:49). And we can be too. Every calling, whatever it may be, is “His business” when embraced with a humble and willing heart and a desire to lift and comfort His children and to share His good news. President Dallin H. Oaks has provided us with a wonderful example of what it means to be about our Father’s business. Today we had the sacred opportunity to come together to raise our hands in support of President Oaks, to sustain him as the Lord’s prophet, seer, and revelator. We have signified our willingness to uphold President Oaks by our confidence, faith, and prayers. While today is certainly solemn in purpose, it is also a day full of gratitude and rejoicing at the opportunity for the whole Church to come together and exercise common consent. Life is better, everything is better, when we are about His business. I pray that on this day when we sustain our prophet and president you will find great joy as you also rededicate yourself to the Saviour’s ministry. #GeneralConference

For 6 months I wasn’t paying tithing because I felt like we weren’t making ends meet. Then, after hearing someone bear their testimony about it in Relief Society, I decided to give it another try. After just two tithing offerings, demand for my business picked up out of nowhere. It’s so overwhelming. I’ve had to raise my prices.

I don’t see how a story about selling your car just to pay tithing can be framed as anything but troubling.

I think from now on I’ll just ignore when people say “Mormons aren’t Christians.” Our lives show who we are, and our faith is known to the One who we follow. It doesn’t matter if others think we’re not Christians. Because Jesus Christ knows the hearts of His followers.

@ldsabuse Cult of satanists call them what the book of mormon calls them! Molesting children protecting pedephiles. Judgments of God did come upon these workers of secret combinations, Alma 37:30. Satan put it into the hearts of the people to form secret oaths and covenants, Hel. 6:21–31.
