Amen! Teaching is an art and a science. Not everyone can do this successfully. Inspiring students to love to learn takes a credentialed teacher. A warm body without this cannot be called a teacher. Please respect our teachers as the professionals who they are and let them teach.

Dear Texans, Trump is going to take away Special Ed funding and Title 1 funding. Abbott is going to take away public school funding when he passes vouchers. 75% of Rural counties do not have private schools. Pub Schools are the top employers. Doesn't sound good for Rural Tx.

Vouchers are controversial not based on the # of states w/ a program. To teach is to show or explain how to do something. I can plan to teach a lesson. I teach the lesson. But that doesn't guarantee learning. If I design for learning instead, I will have made all the purposeful & intentional choices required to produce evidence of learning.
