Only legal legislated boundaries of neighborhoods. If you don’t see your favorite; it is in one of these East Boston in 1637 South Boston in 1804 Roxbury, 1868 Dorchester, 1870 West Roxbury, 1874 (separated from Roxbury in 1851) Charlestown, 1874 Brighton. 1874 Hyde Park, 1912

My “quotation” are a polite way to signal the colonists were “white” and mostly pro-slavery. The radical Europeans were “white” and mostly anti-slavery. Those arguments must have been interesting

“We” are the first British colonies to gain “their”independence through war. Lafayette and other European radicals supported this movement and joined to finance it and to kill British soldiers and Tories.

A quote for a sign on the door leading out of the exhibit: “You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know.” From, William Wilberforce, speech to British Parliament, 1791

@ByronRushing : As a community organizer, I had to train myself to listen to people. I was not going to be able to improve the community of Lower Roxbury; the people were going to be able to do that and I had to listen to them first. #HNESummit

It is too late to be satisfied with “small” actions. Wake up every morning committed to tell the truth, teach the truth. And the obverse, wake up every morning committed to call out the lies you hear that day, that you hear taught that day.

“This is white political fragility in Boston…They just don’t have the numbers on their side. They don’t have time on their side, because the white people who are moving into Boston don’t like them.” baystatebanner.com/2022/11/09/old…
