One of the things that you pick up from reading the minor prophets is that being a prophet is pretty shit.
But you kind of read them and go "yeah but if I was a prophet, I'd do a better job of convincing people", and then you try it, and yes, the role really is that bad.

I'm currently at an online conference on grief. As a CC person who's had almost no success in getting ppl to change their behaviours to even the tiniest degree, I've realized the primary emotion I live with is grief--for all these lives ruined or cut short.

@KPTimeWillTell Absolutely! We have been able to meet the ASHRAE241 standards for the preschool in my church and since doing that we have seen a noticeable improvement in attendance and no respiratory outbreaks.

Airborne transmission is not inevitable. Mitigation works.
If you can’t control the indoor air quality, or the close space while queuing filter the air you breathe with a FFP2 or FFP3 respirator.

Nearly another day of dental hygiene done with as good IAQ as I can muster. HEPA’s on , FarUV , windows open & FFP3 as standard. It CAN be done🙌🏻

We saw inclusion & accessibility improve overnight

its what gets to me the most, it was such an amazing eye opening opportunity for us to learn about all these things, to be more empathetic of chronic illness and disability, that it's unacceptable to just kill off "the vulnerable", to care more about each other

It's so maddening that when the pandemic hit, instead of deciding to clean the air in all indoor spaces, wear respirators in healthcare settings, and understand more about spreading airborne disease, everyone decided to just get infected over and over again.

@CC_Priest @BirdieBittern I'm sorry about your sister 😢🙏🏻Heidi... you're right. Pain in several parts of the body after drinking alcohol is a classical sign, along others, of Lymphoma.
Unfortunately, many will develop cancers in these years facilitated by COVID infections 😞

Alcohol use is not a known cause of Hodgkin lymphoma
The Epstein Barr virus is an established risk factor for Hodgkin lymphoma as is a weakened immune system
Approximately 90% of adults have had EBV & most of us have had Covid reinfections which also damage the immune system

Masking is a disability rights issue. Anywhere that you’re refusing to wear a mask and able to, you’re saying high risk and disabled people don’t deserve to be in those spaces. Many of us have been abandoned and dismissed these past seven years because most refused to include us.

@ChristineGuent8 I don't understand why were are not prioritizing cleaning the air in public spaces. Meeting the ASHRAE241 standards has noticeably decreased the number of absences due to illness in the preschool at my church, not respiratory illness outlooks since we did this.

What are we doing to children? My God…almost 20% of kids in a Quebec study had between 7-9 infections in nearly 30 months of life = 1 infection every 3 months at the highest end, 1 every 4 months at lower. How incredibly cruel and disgusting! Children are collateral damage… 😢

If you've been wanting an Aranet but cost was a barrier, the Vitalight is pretty close in accuracy for a fraction of the cost.
I bought a used Vitalight on Ebay for just under $15

CO2 monitors are great for estimating both air quality and the risk airborne disease transmission in a given space. A study just came out comparing the top of the line Aranet with a low cost alternative (Vitalight). Turns out they work just as well in typical environments.
