@poperespecter1 I think it’s safe to say that those who hold to Dyerite theology are farther away from the Apostolic deposit than even Protestants.
English

I consider Eastern Orthodoxy much closer to the True One True Church than Evangelicalism but ortho bros are so unlikeable that I find myself rooting for evangelicals whenever they debate.
Ortho bros have such a New Atheism vibe to them.
Dr. David Wood@Acts17David
Jay Dyer blocked me, but make sure he sees this debate challenge on Eastern Orthodox icon veneration.

@KurvaBlyat71898 @C2Antiquity You insulted the Lord in the same post. A demonic slip?
English

@CCyrillian @C2Antiquity Hello? In order to redeem humanity, Christ had to be human.
English

Anyone know if @C2Antiquity has accepted any of 2-3 debate challenges that have been offered to him so far from the OO side?
Surely if you have a blessing to attack other churches, then you have a blessing to be publicly cross-examined on those same attacks.
English

@jnorm88846433 @DanielDorotheos @C2Antiquity While I appreciate your sentiment, this is not the case at all. In our countries, Western influence took form, not in the subversion of our Church, but in the conversion of our people. This is not Western captivity, this is just liturgical abuse in the West condemned by hierarchy
English

Before criticizing them, you should first figure out why the Copts are like this. Didn't we have a western captivity era from the 17th century to the 19th? Well western Protestant Missionaries in the 19th century thought the best way to convert the Copts was through the inside out by way of education and Bible study school programs. This is why the Copts look, and sound so Protestant! They are going through there own western captivity era. It took us two centuries to fight back and re-emphasize our Eastern Christian heritage. If it took us that long, then have more sympathy for the Copts. We didn't win that fight over night, and they won't either.

After watching some of @C2Antiquity and his videos regarding the orientals, with understanding their subversiveness being second to none when it comes to bringing people to the church with them LARPing as orthodox, I've come to a realization.
Without denying, and with actual recognition that these people do genuinely love god, these people are religious chameleons. Their religious dittos. They don't have an identity that they really have other then in opposition, or with replication. They have nothing really to truly guide them and bind them. The orientals, is a weird group of multiple non-calcedonian traditions that 50 or 60 years ago came together and said, "yes, together we shall be known as orthodox. Oriental orthodox! This way, people don't get mixed up with the Eastern orthodox!"
When finding out about the mega churches and their charismatic churches that they have, I've realized that it's a very sad and tragic situation and we need to pray for them a lot more than we do. There are some people who struggle and fight to keep the tradition that they do have as we see with, for example, Agen and even Pope Shenouda III. But it genuinely seems like it's dying. Whatever tradition that there are striving for, is seems more like they're trying to get back what they lost and are losing. If Mega churches and charismatic type of exorcisms, where people are having seizures in the same way that those of traditional minds like to make fun of, are considered listen with their tradition, the tradition is ambiguous. There's nothing actually binding or holding them to anything succinct or objective. It is pure LARP.
It's a faith that is dying that is grasping on to anything it can to stay relevant and to get people into its tradition. These people genuinely believe they are the one true church, as do the Catholics as do the 3000 to 44,000 traditions of protestantism. And I genuinely believe that most of 100% of these people believe in God and are true in their faith. But to see them floundering the way they are LARPing as Orthodox to get people into the churches, and having mega churches and charismatic style exorcisms where people are seizing on the ground, it's an incredibly sad sight to see.
Please pray for these people, and welcome them always and forever to the church that Christ established, the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church: the Eastern Orthodox Church, AKA the Orthodox Catholic Church.
Lord have mercy.

@C2Antiquity Accept Agen’s debate or shut up you’re a catechumen, has your spiritual father blessed what is it that you’re getting up to currently? Posting and running like a little kid. Grow up.

They’re just panicking. “We need to shut this guy up quick!” 😭😭 People are waking up to the rot at the heart of the “OO”s spirituality. The amount of former, and current “OO”s, that have reached out privately on this subject is staggering. Many are inquiring. Glory to God, Pray for them ☦️

@axl__________ He did criticize some exorcisms as well recently, so maybe you’ve got a point

@C2Antiquity Hey cleave why is your church being Deceptive saying that your church is the same as the Coptic Orthodox Church when you’re not.

English

@CCyrillian Nah, giving advice and pushback is normal on the internet. And sometimes people are wrong. It’s the internet. We should know these things.
English

EOs will tell you that true theology is mystical, arising from experience of God through the sacraments, and then let a catechumen who’s never experienced the sacraments to teach theology to a bunch of strangers on the internet.
It’s ok because he has a blessing though!
Orthodox Ethos@OrthodoxEthos
@NewsNFTU He has a spiritual father. He has a blessing.

@SilouanSdcn Awesome, sure. Then OE’s original comment is unjust per your standard.
Orthodox Ethos@OrthodoxEthos
@USATrackAIPAC @banterwithb Go be quiet Go listen Go and pray This is what a catechumen does
English

@CCyrillian Who said anything about having authority? This is the internet broseph. Believe who you want.
English

@SilouanSdcn If anyone can have authority to regurgitate arguments, would you permit an atheist to explain Orthodox dogma to strangers on the internet?
English

@CCyrillian Gotcha arguments are lame. There’s quite a lot of doctrine that can be regurgitated, but that’s just one bit of how theology is acquired and disseminated.
English

@CCyrillian You are flattening what is meant by mystical. I may know more about Theology and Church history than many of the grandmothers at my Parish but all of the grandmothers at my Parish know more about God than I do and I'm a full member of the Orthodox Church just as they are.
English

@HankRenter Transgender ahh theology “a teacher is anyone who identifies as teaching”

You don’t know whether Jonathan is on the path to conversion. The fact that he’s asking for the intercession of Pope Shenouda of thrice blessed memory is an uplifting sign that he is on the path to Orthodoxy. Things could be a lot worse; he could be venerating the Nestorian blasphemer Leo of Rome, or he could be idolatrating the demented Maximus who taught that the saints become identical to the Lord. Or, if he joined your group, he could be venerating the devoted Freemason, Philaret of Moscow.
This is a good sign that he will eventually accept the faith of the Third Ecumenical Council, which his current sect departed from the faith of in 451AD. Just as the Arian pseudo-councils fall by Nicaea, so too do the Chalcedonian pseudo-councils fall by Ephesus:
