The district continues to monitor weather conditions and roadways throughout the area, and will evaluate a decision about Tuesday, Jan. 27 as more information is available Monday.

Be weather aware! Freezing rain is approaching faster than expected. Travel conditions could be dangerous. If possible, minimize risk and plan to be at a safe location by 9 p.m.

Precipitation has ended, but ICY roads remain. While the warnings & advisories have been cancelled, the danger hasn't passed. Temps are dropping, & wet surfaces are turning into ice—especially on roads, walkways, & elevated surfaces. Stay safe & take it slow out there!

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Harris County from 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday. #HCPrecinct4 Warming Centers are open today. Other Warming Centers opening at noon Saturday: •Lincoln Park Community Center (Precinct 1) •Felix Baldree Community Center (Precinct 2) Bayland 24-hour shelter is pet-friendly. Bring crates if you have them; some will be available on-site. Take precautions and stay safe!
