During Police Week, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who wear the badge. We remember those who gave their lives protecting others and recognize the dedication of officers who continue to serve our communities each day.

As we close out National Police Week, I remember a friend who I worked with back in my early years at Kingsville PD. Sherman gave his life in the protection of others. He will never be forgotten.
