Great to be out knocking on doors in Duryard today. Warm reception for the local Exeter @LibDems team, as residents are appreciative of our all year round action. Lots of issues raised including road surfaces, weeds, bus services, broken benches, planning enforcement and more.

I have and will continue to call for these important elections to go ahead in @ExeterCouncil and across the country.

Liberal Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail to ensure local elections go ahead and that people can have a say on how their communities and local councils are run. @EdwardJDavey has written to Kemi Badenoch urging her to call on Conservative peers in the Lords to back our fatal motion - which would block the government's plans and reinstate the cancelled local elections.

It was also a privilege to meet and talk to HM Deputy Lieutenant for Devon Vikram S Devaraj. Doh jeh (thank you) for everyone's continuing friendship.

Ian and I spent an absolutely fantastic morning and afternoon at the 香港人在Exeter, Hongkongers in Exeter celebrations for the upcoming Year of the Horse. Great to see our forever friends within the Hongkongers community and many other friends from our diverse communities too.

We were both wearing our pink triangles to remember members of the homosexual community who were persecuted, tortured and murdered by the Nazis. We must also still remember many within our community still suffer persecution around the world today.

Ian and I attended the poignant Holocaust Memorial Day opening ceremony at @ExeterCathedral this morning, along with the Lord Mayor of Exeter and other representatives from @ExeterCouncil. We must never forget the horror of the Holocaust and genocides since.

Labour running scared of the electorate came up on the doorstep many times but on a more positive note thank you for all the kind appreciative words and as always for your support.

Although it was wet and windy this morning, it was great to be out knocking on doors with the @LibDems team in St James talking to residents about local issues both City, County and of course national and international.

I appreciate the letter may have been sent out prior to the Council debate but the bold line in the letter is rather misleading - will @ExeterCouncil be writing to all who have received this letter to set the record straight?

Certainly interesting timing to receive a letter from @ExeterCouncil regarding the reapplication for my postal vote! The Labour Party and its Exeter leadership don't wish to face the electorate this May but I have reapplied just in case!
