"Se consideró audaz subir el salario mínimo un 23,7 por ciento de un tajo y para todo el país. La OIT, China, Estados Unidos, Vietnam, Panamá y más de diez países del mundo llevan décadas demostrando que lo verdaderamente audaz es exactamente lo contrario: gradual y regionalizado": @LuisArangoEs cambiocolombia.com/puntos-de-vist…

🚨BREAKING from @DropSiteNews: Leaked Photos Show Longstanding Relationship Between Colombia’s Uribe and Ecuador’s Noboa Despite Denials Leaked photos posted last year to a private Instagram account linked to an associate of Ecuadorian First Lady Lavinia Valbonesi show a direct, ongoing relationship between former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe and Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa. Uribe had acknowledged two trips to Ecuador—Guayaquil in January and Cuenca in April—but denied meeting Noboa or any government officials. The images surface as he faces allegations of coordinating with Noboa to interfere in Colombia’s presidential election ahead of the May 31 vote. The photos show Uribe shaking hands with Noboa and posing alongside Valbonesi inside what appears to be the couple’s Quito residence. A distinctive couch visible in both images matches one seen in a September 2025 Ecuadorian magazine spread and a March 2025 Instagram post. The timing of Uribe’s visits has drawn scrutiny after they coincided with a sharp escalation in tariffs imposed by Noboa on Colombian goods—first to 50%, then to 100%—crippling bilateral trade. Uribe has also sought to escalate tensions during the campaign, pointing to the impact of those tariffs on Colombian businesses while highlighting drug trafficking along the shared border. Iván Cepeda Castro, the left-wing frontrunner in Colombia’s presidential race, has criticized Uribe’s political activism as relations between the two countries deteriorate to their lowest point in decades. “Uribe is going to the border with Ecuador to try to incite hatred between our peoples and also exacerbate the trade war,” Cepeda said in a video posted to social media. President Gustavo Petro accused Noboa of “handing over the border to the mafia.” Meanwhile, in an interview with Semana on April 18, 2026, Noboa stated he has a "good relationship" with both leading right-wing candidates Paloma Valencia and Abelardo de la Espriella, adding that both candidates "have good intentions" and possess the "firm" leadership style he believes the country needs. Petro allies accuse Noboa of attempting to engineer a crisis to undermine Castro, Petro’s political heir.
