Account UPDATE: There are so many advances in technology and AI right now that interest me. I have been tinkering around with the following: - Vibe Coding - AI Agents/OpenClaw I've put aside most of my trading card money and started spending it on tokens for the above. Here is my journey so far with very little coding experience: --- Vibe Coding --- Over the past year or so, I've been playing around with @Replit and building apps. With a Replit Core plan ($120/year), I can experiment with building apps and learn along the way. I've tinkered with about a handful of apps and most haven't made it into production. One idea was a sort of "Charlie Munger" app where users would "ask Munger" about an important decision, like "Should I invest in this stock?". The web would then query Grok to perform research and put together a result for you. BUT, people already use Grok (for free), so that didn't make sense to create. This is just one of many "failures" that I played around with. The app that HAS made it into production is snackjudge.com: a web app where users can rate snacks (mainly from Trader Joe's). It's the first app I've vibe-coded where users swipe right or left on a Trader Joe's snack. As of today, you can rate 189 Trader Joe's snacks on the website. I personally go into Trader Joe's myself and take pictures of any new snacks or food items that are stocked at my local TJ's. I am my own employee, data curator, and CEO 😄 I'm also currently creating the mobile version of the app (on the Apple App Store for now). Using Replit to create the mobile app was extremely easy (since I already had the blueprint from the web version); however, the rate-limiting step is actually submitting the app to the App Store, especially when I've included a paid subscription on the app. Hopefully things go well with my next submission. --- AI Agents/OpenClaw --- -- (Super)@Grok -- I am still paying ~$30 per month to use SuperGrok. I don't post as much as I used to (especially with the original idea of this account: trading cards), but I still feel the need to learn what AI can do for me, particularly in areas I'm interested in. For example, I've been interested in certain sectors of the stock market. SuperGrok has a great feature where you can set up recurring daily tasks, and Grok (and its agent) can do daily research for you. I have a daily recurring research task where the agents (as of Grok 4.20) extensively research companies, their financials, and whether it's the appropriate time to buy the stock. I plan to continue using @grok because I think this will be heavy player in the future, especially with Elon recently cleaning up shop and revamping xAI. -- OpenClaw -- In addition to SuperGrok, I've also been deeply interested in all things @openclaw. The idea that agents can do work for you while you're away from your computer fascinates me. I've created a number of skills relevant to my knowledge as a scientist. Using OpenClaw and with the help of my agent/orchestrator, we have developed agents that may help scientists create novel molecules for the future. We've also developed a website, pharmaclaw.com, which details the skills of each agent. All these skills are open-sourced and are found on clawhub.ai/u/Cheminem. Developing these agents and this website is more of a learning experience for me, but hopefully it can be used for future scientists in the pharma industry. Now with @nvidia introducing NemoClaw, I hope that Pharmaclaw serves as a base for those interested that have a strong background in chemistry/pharma and some experience in coding and AI. My overall goal is to spend ~$20 a week fine-tuning each skill. I'll be learning and failing along the way, but hopefully people in the industry can make use (and build upon) the foundation I have set with my agents. So many side projects. So little time. We live in a time where technology is both exciting and scary at the same time. Jobs will be displaced and created. In my opinion, I think we'll see a lot of uncertainty in the next few years before things become equilbrated. So, as a hedge, I'm trying to branch out to what interests me (besides trading cards). To be honest, I think cards will be HUGE in the next few years since they still represent something physical (albeit they are already becoming tokenized). Anyways, I'm deciding to use this account and make it more of a personal account (reflected by my name and not by "The Card Captain"). Hopefully you all find what you're fascinated/passionate about and go for it. Me...I'm still tinkering. Thanks for reading 🚀🧪

Watched Project Hail Mary on Sunday. 1. Great movie. Go see it. 2. Was waiting for a scene where Rocky would take a 💩 like how it was described in the novel. The end.

Love that I can now build a blockbuster app in 30 minutes, only for it to be disrupted in 3 months when the brain-computer singularity happens and the world implodes and we’re lying in vats of fluid, orbiting a distant nebula.

After NemoClaw’s announcement… how far are we from having “items with a soul” run by smart @nvidia chips and @openclaw - like systems? @steipete

When Copernicus proposed heliocentrism in 1543, it was actually less accurate than Ptolemy's geocentric model - a system refined over 1,400 years with epicycles precisely tuned to match observed planetary positions. It took another 70 years before Kepler, working from Tycho Brahe's unprecedentedly precise observations, replaced Copernicus’s circles with ellipses - finally making heliocentrism empirically superior. Terence Tao's point is that science needs a high temperature setting. If we only fund and follow what's most state of the art today, we kill the ideas that might need decades of work to surpass some overall plateau.
