Common theme of all the best HS hitters I’m seeing is they attack the first pitch almost every AB & get their best swing off on that 0-0 count. If they swing thru it… they dont care. If your coach is telling you to be patient & take the 1st pitch most AB’s… u need a new coach!

I would like to announce the new additions to the Foulke family. Jen and I were married on Saturday in front of family and friends. Ceremony was short and sweet with great food and libations . I actually made it through my vows with just a few emotional pauses. @themrsfoulke

Hot take: most amateur hitters and their coaches focus on mechanics, thinking magic can be sprinkled and outcomes will change. Mechanics matter for sure but let’s talk about timing and pitch selection before we make wholesale swing changes!
