“Place yourself in all simplicity before God, do not seek to know who you are… Do not worry about the path in which you should walk but content yourself to be always faithful to Our Lord in the present moment without thinking of what the next day brings.” -Ven. Francis Libermann

@CatholicJosh @AshleySheatz I've spoken my part. Their followers are aware now, having read SOMETHING about Christ's true Church. They can no longer claim ignorance. Call me what you will. I will be judged for many things. Remaining silent when eternity is at stake is not going to be one of them.

Also, I will never stop proclaiming what God has done in my life. God took the worst (me) and made me clean. He blessed my life when I didn’t deserve it and changed me and continues to change me. I have an amazing marriage. Three beautiful children. A very wholesome life. ♥️

Before anyone tries to convince you this is a good example of redemption ask them if they would react the same if the man was a rapist or pedophile or murderer or whatever. We can tone it down to fraud, cheater, drug dealer etc. Redemption for me but not for thee.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

Day 2 of the internet be scandalized by Christian testimonies. “TMI! Keep some things private!” Yeah or people may just be comfortable sharing the drama of being saved. That is not the same as glorifying your past sins. And you can scroll past it with zero effort if it bugs you.

@DrFloopens @AshleySheatz Or, they are sincerely testifying to the goodness of God as they understand him. And they may explore the Catholic faith if not every catholic they encounter sounds like total asshole

@CatholicJosh @AshleySheatz I don't accept that someone who has access to the internet, and makes his livelihood off of social media marketing is incapable of exploring the fullness of the faith on their own. They are gatekeepers to the Kingdom of Heaven and are chaining souls on fire for God to themselves

Have you heard the term don’t assume malice in place of ignorance? You’re not a better person for ascribing wickedness to others. And no evangelical will explore Catholicism on the basis of insulting them. Seriously, search your conscience. Invite people to the Church with humility

@CatholicJosh @AshleySheatz Forgive me for not wanting people to trod around in Evangelical garbage their entire life. You should see how her husband speaks about Mary, and his obsession with "her lack of virginity". They're charlatans promoting a theology that dismiss and excuse their own sins.

@AshleySheatz This doesn't even remotely touch on the issue. I felt bad for you because of your disgusting, moron of a husband. Well, that's no longer the case. Enjoy your pieces of silver, I guess.

@AshleySheatz I think you should log off X, submit to your husband, and be silent. A life of quiet submission is much more pleasing to God than puking all the salacious details of your past online. God made you clean so that you could be holy, not to navel gaze about how bad you once were.

@DrFloopens @AshleySheatz You’re not representing Catholicism well. If you knew your own faith better you’d know the power of baptism and an apology. If it were her first, reconciliation isn’t even required. Humble yourself and people may accept your invitation to explore the richness of our faith

@AshleySheatz The problem is that you peddle an incomplete theology. You're effectively neutering Christ's salvific power by saying "baptism and an apology" are enough. God gave us a church and a path of salvation. The Sacraments are there for a reason. Start OCIA. Receive reconciliation Pax

@AshleySheatz God doesn't require your proclamation (piety signaling) in order for him to pour out his grace for you. That's not how it works. You're doing it for yourself, not Him

Do you not see why this post might have been necessary? Maybe there are women who believe that they are beyond redemption? Beyond love? Some “Catholics” are seemingly mocking the idea that forgiveness is available. Read the comments below. He’s claiming that sinners become Protestants when they find Jesus, which is why men should become Catholic. Apparently, (according to him), Catholicism doesn’t tolerate people who were once sinners. I can see the utility of her testimony (which she shared before he shared it).
CATHOLIC MAXIMUS@EcciusMaximus

"…..can't even count how many men I've been with..." Young men, this is what awaits you if you convert to Protestantism!

If someone argues that a former promiscuous woman is "damaged goods" and questions whether a Christian young man should marry her, remember Rahab. She was a Canaanite prostitute but became a mother in the lineage of Jesus. God redeemed her, cleansed her, and Salmon married her.
