The pleasure was all mine—excellent to meet you in person!

It was wonderful meeting political commentator and podcast host Michael Knowles at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in DC. He’s a truly inspiring figure for millions of young Catholics.

@Realjaybackup @Heritage If they’d included my honorary doctorate, DHL, the audience might have confused me for a shipping company.

“ When we interpret the American founding, we can totally grant that these men were not endeavoring to establish a Catholic Republic...but we can recognize that what they have done has created a meaning that is very much in line with the natural law tradition, with Thomisitic traditions, scholastic tradition.” - @michaeljknowles

‘The American founders established a government that very closely resembles the ideal regime laid out by St. Thomas Aquinas. The framers may not have been reading Aquinas, but they were reading the men who read him.’ - @michaeljknowles

Catholics aren’t just present in American public life—they’re helping shape it, from Congress to the governor’s mansion to the Supreme Court. Catholics now make up over 20% of the US population. At the 2026 National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, Michael Knowles drove that point home ending his speech by saying, “Not only can a Catholic become president, but an American can even be the Pope.”

@michaeljknowles I predicted that Trump would be a disclosure president last spring on War Room with Steve Bannon 👇

Greta Thunberg screamed at us for years that the world would end if we didn’t stop burning oil.
Now she is screaming at President Trump because he won’t let people burn oil.
I’m beginning to think her schtick was never really about “climate change”… x.com/MKnowlesShow/s…

@MKKIJS @rickeyp2121 @ParodyAoc My argument rests on the meaning of certain words, as do all arguments!
English

@michaeljknowles @rickeyp2121 @ParodyAoc So your justification for your stance is words written down by man thousands of years ago?

@michaeljknowles @ParodyAoc This is one of the least intellectual positions someone can have regarding extraterrestrial life.
English

@chitowndave88 @ParodyAoc Well it would have been strange to write a parenthetical with a single em dash—or, worse, a hyphen!
(Really though, I owe my knowledge of the em dash to Ben’s father roughly a decade ago.)
English

@michaeljknowles @ParodyAoc Knowles!! I see 2! 2 I repeat! EM DASHES!!! 😆✌️
Ya know the famous, "I used AI for this message", EM DASHes!! They are represented as these 👉 —
English

@rickeyp2121 @ParodyAoc “When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars which thou hast established;
what is man that thou art mindful of him,
and the son of man that thou dost care for him?”
“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?”
English

I see this argument a lot, and they are fair points. But then again, if we were created special and placed here only, then why the other galaxies, stars, planets, etc.? There is no reason they need to exist either. Based on what we know, we can never reach most of those areas. To me it just seems like a whole lot of wasted space to create all of that for no reason.
English

@ParodyAoc We don’t see any direct evidence of life elsewhere, we don’t have a natural explanation of how life begins, and there’s no reason life would need to exist elsewhere. Of course, that would imply that we earthlings—we humans, in particular—are special. But then, we are.
English

@michaeljknowles Why? Do you have a theory that the rest of the solar system is uninhabitable and/or empty? Why would you assume that?
English

@JimArkham If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
If turnips were watches, I’d wear one by my side.
And if ifs and ands were pots and pans,
There’d be no work for tinkers’ hands!
