What the actual hell? Tens of thousands of Iranian protesters, many of whom are blue collar and middle class were slaughtered by Iranian regime. This has nothing to do with Epstein and even less to do with Canadian politics. I'm honestly shocked by @WabKinew.

#AlMayadeen's correspondent to South Lebanon, Fatima Ftouni, was martyred earlier today in an Israeli airstrike that directly targeted journalists in the South covering the Israeli aggression on Lebanon. Fatima was in a vehicle clearly labeled "Press" alongside other journalists, including Al-Manar's Ali Sheaib. Fatima was known and loved by all her colleagues, either from her time as an editor in Al Mayadeen Net, or as a correspondent for Al Mayadeen covering the Israeli war of aggression on South Lebanon. Known for her bravery, steadfastness, and forever love for her profession and her constant desire to deliver the message of her people's resistance to the world, she will continue to live within our hearts for the joy she brought us all as a colleague with her warmth, and her dedication to her field. This is not the first time that Al Mayadeen's correspondents have been targeted. Soon after "Israel" began its war on Lebanon, Al Mayadeen's correspondent Farah Omar and Cameraman Rabih Me'mari were martyred in an Israeli aggression on November 21, 2023. Al Mayadeen's Ghassan Najjar and Mohammad Reda were also martyred in another Israeli attack on journalists on October 25, 2024. This is part of "Israel's" systematic attacks on journalists. In the past three years, "Israel" has killed hundreds of journalists across the region, all in an attempt to prevent the broadcasting of the reality of its crimes. #LebanonUnderAttack #Lebanon

In 1995, a nurse broke hospital rules to place a newborn into her twin sister’s incubator. The baby was not expected to survive. Kyrie and Brielle Jackson were born 12 weeks early at a hospital in the United States. Each weighed roughly two pounds. They were placed in separate incubators, standard practice to prevent infection. Kyrie gained strength. Brielle did not. Three weeks after birth, Brielle went into critical condition. Her oxygen dropped. Her heart rate spiked. Her skin turned bluish-grey. Nurse Gayle Kasparian tried everything. She held her. She had her father hold her. She wrapped her in a blanket. Nothing worked. Kasparian remembered hearing about a practice used in parts of Europe but never tried in American hospitals. She placed Brielle into Kyrie’s incubator. Their father described what happened next: “She snuggled up to Kyrie and she was just fine. It was immediate. It was absolutely immediate.” Within minutes, Brielle’s oxygen levels were the best they had been since she was born. As she slept, Kyrie stretched her left arm across her sister’s body and held her. Photographer Chris Christo captured the moment. The image spread around the world and became known as “The Rescuing Hug.” Hospitals across multiple countries began placing premature twins together, a practice that had been resisted for decades. Both girls went home healthy. They are now 30.

This university -one of the leading engineering universities of Iran- is where I got my BSc and MSc degree in engineering years ago. This aggression is all about Iran gaining power via science. And make no mistake that this was a deliberate, targeted assassination of journalists. A war crime. We owe them a debt that can never be repaid. Words are not enough right now Rest in power. This is an absolute scandal. Serbian football team Crvena Zvezda has been fined €95,500 after fans choreographed a motif of Jesus Christ! UEFA fined them for "displaying a message not fit for a sporting event and bringing the reputation of football and UEFA itself into disrepute". The image was a traditional Orthodox tifo of Jesus Christ or Saint Simeone the Myrrh-flowing, while the text underneath read: “May our faith lead you to victory". UEFA has stopped games for Ramadan and openly promoted BLM and LGBT campaigns during tournaments. But Christianity is ‘inappropriate’?! What an utter disgrace.
