The thoughts of Chairman Al. Life's but a walking shadow, a poor toolmakers son, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more.

🇺🇸BREAKING | U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal that additional attack aircraft (presumably A-10 Thunderbolt IIs) have recently landed in the Middle East, within the Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility. 🪖 In the coming days, up to 2,000 soldiers from the Army's elite 82nd Airborne Division, as well as thousands of sailors and Marines, are expected to arrive. 🔹 The strike carrier group of the USS George H.W. Bush and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (from the USS BOXER assault landing ship) are again heading toward the region; their arrival will likely take more than a week. The Iranian regime, which is still blocking the Strait if Hormuz, is trying to extort America for more concessions before agreeing to talk.

EXCLUSIVE Sir Keir Starmer has been forced to drop legislation which would cede sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius in a further deterioration of relations with Donald Trump The Times has been told that a bill underpinning the controversial deal will not be included in the King's Speech next month after the US president branded it an "act of great stupidity" and withdrew his support The government stands by the deal and will attempt to persuade Trump to change his mind but has acknowledged that it cannot proceed without his backing Ministers are "deeply frustrated" with Trump, who initially supported the deal after extensive discussions between intelligence agencies but changed his mind during a dispute with Nato over plans to seize Greenland The government believes that it puts the future of Diego Garcia, the UK-US base in the islands which has been used during the Iran war, at risk It is concerned that Mauritius will mount a legal challenge granting it access to the waters around Diego Garcia, making it harder for the base to host nuclear submarines and patrol surrounding waters The deal was highly contentious. It would have seen Britain hand over the islands to Mauritius before immediately entering into a 99-year lease for Diego Garcia. The government claimed it would cost £3.5billion, although the Tories disputed this and said it would cost £35billion his over its lifetime. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

EXCLUSIVE: The UK is preparing a new version of a major plan to ready the whole nation - from the military and police to hospitals and industry - for the transition to war, the head of the armed forces has told Sky News. Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton said the updated iteration of what was called the Government War Book would require people to think differently about resilience, drawing on lessons from the Cold War but "in a modern context, with a modern society, with modern infrastructure". In an interview on Friday at the London Defence Conference, he also revealed that a threat by the UK to seize ships that are part of Russia's murky "shadow fleet" is already having an effect, even though British forces have yet to board any vessels. The chief of the defence staff said the mere knowledge that London was ready to target a sanctioned tanker was forcing Moscow to escort them or divert them away from UK waters. However, shadow fleet ships have still been spotted off the coastline without being stopped. Asked whether an actual boarding operation was imminent, Air Chief Marshal Knighton said: "Be in no doubt. We are ready." You can read about the full interview here ⬇️ news.sky.com/story/uk-prepa…
