The project involved in this incident is LumaPad — @LumaPad_pro. I am writing this thread to document the full timeline: how trust was built, how I was pushed into a fake StreamYard meeting, how my machine was infected with Trojan:Win32/NetSupportRat!AMTB, and how that led to my X, Instagram, GitHub, and important development data being compromised. i got hacked, and i honestly didn't want to share this. the past few days have been exhausting. i didn't even know how to process everything that happened, so i stayed off, cleaned my room, and tried to cope with it quietly. but then i realized a lot of people also applied for the same opportunity, and i feel like i have a responsibility to share what happened for awareness. i got hacked after applying for a Web3 Content Writer role through the verified @LumaPadHQ account. they were the ones who reached out, asked me to DM them, reviewed my portfolio, asked about my experience, shared their UK company registration, mentioned @shape3vc as one of their partners, and later asked me to continue the hiring process on KakaoTalk with their Korean team. everything looked legitimate. that's exactly why i trusted it. what's crazy is i did verify everything i could. i checked the account, the company, the registration, and the information they shared. everything looked real, and i still got hacked. my Facebook and Instagram were compromised. my main Facebook account and pages were deactivated, and my Instagram started messaging all people without my knowledge. i'm posting this for awareness because i don't want anyone else to go through what i did. please be extra careful, even when everything looks legitimate. just another reminder to always take care and stay safe. ❤️
