The idea of Pokemon is that it's easy and palatable for kids
Yu-Gi-Oh players like Yugioh because it's complex, regardless of age
We don't measure our game based on how easy it is for dumb kids

The idea that it should be changed to appeal to a wider audience is antithetical to the its core idea and its appeal

I love Yugioh to death so it's always bittersweet when I'm reminded just how many people used to play this game and stopped because of the power creep and complexity. I've met countless folks over the years and this is so often their story with the game :(
