Mannnn times really have changed with waffles… back in the day you had to provide pics of every single angle of the prizes that were up for grabs… if you didn’t, you’d get called out and crucified. You also needed to be directly in line with market price…even a single penny over… you would get called out and crucified. You also needed a breakdown of the pricing of every item in the waffle and if you didn’t provide that…. You guessed it! You would get called out and crucified. Don’t get me wrong, the gatekeeping was rampant back then and I can appreciate how far we’ve come but DAMN…. The wafflers these days don’t know how good they got it!!!!

Some of the best Hobby(more buying/selling) tips I can give you from personal experience: 🟢Comminucate well: Buyers and sellers hate ambiguous terms and lack of communication. Be precise with your things! When are you shipping things? Pwe or Tracking? When sending offers, is that price shipped? Need overnight or 2 day? PayPal goods or FF? 🟢If you ship stuff, use PIRATESHIP! You will save so much time and money vs the post office/UPS. Get a thermal label printer it makes it so much easier. 🟢Send your buyers tracking. I personally copy the tracking number from pirate and paste it into chat as a single line. That way, they can just copy/paste to their spreadsheet/Google. 🟢If you are buying, always send or confirm your address. Even if you are a repeat customer, things change over time. Just copy and paste it in chat so it's there and sellers dont have to scroll to find it again. 🟢Ship cards how you want to receive them. If you are happy receiving a card/slab just tossed in a bubble mailer, fine. That's not how I want to recieve a $500 card personally. I wrap my cards in bubble wrap or in a bubble mailer and put securely into the appropriate box. A box has more durability than just a bubble mailer. They are cheap. You are not scrambling around to find cardboard to tape over your card/slabs. 🟢Be prompt. Dont take a week to ship. Market changes quick. Get your cards to your buyers ASAP. People recognize those who do get cards out ASAP. 🟢Be courteous. Dont be a dick. I take pride in how I treat people. The dealers I see at shows look forward to dealing with me. I get texts and calls from sellers all the time because they know I am fair and treat them like an actual person. 🟢MOVE DEAD INVENTORY! I can't tell you how often I see the same cards by the same people over and over. You obviously have it priced way too high and are upside-down on it. This stuff ill either toss up for 99 cent auction or move on from it at a discount because I dont want to hold it anymore and wait for "what if" 🟢Not all people comp cards the same. This becomes problematic when saying you buy or sell at a certain %. I comp all my cards the same when buying. Majority of my repeat sellers know this and trust me when I send them a number. 🟢Expand to other locations/social media. You can move certain cards in different markets. X isnt the best place to buy and sell. I do OK here, but ill expand out and buy on other platforms to expand my network. 🟢Network in The Hobby if you want to grow. Learn from people that are doing things well. It's not easy, but hard work and consistency pays off. "How can I be more efficient?" "How can I improve my shipping practices?" "How can I buy certain markets at the right time?" "How can I get rid of a bunch of lower end cards fast so I can buy a bigger PC piece?" 🟢TAKE CRITICISM! I had a buyer message me this weekend that I didnt counter or say pass on his offers. I felt bad and now realize I should have responded one way or another. If you want to grow and be better, learn how you can improve. There are so many more tips, but I think these are all important in me growing the past 6 years. Much love and Hobby on!
