Many parents simply don’t want outside organizations of any political leaning, shaping their children’s views in school. Even when a governor issues a symbolic proclamation or when a group becomes active in high schools, parents often draw a firm line around who gets access to their kids and what kind of messaging is allowed on campus. Public schools are expected to remain neutral spaces, and families generally prefer that political or advocacy groups stay out of classrooms so that children aren’t influenced by agendas they didn’t choose. That concern is less about any one organization and more about protecting parental authority over what their kids are exposed to.

What are you talking about? I’m not anti-catholic in the sense that I dislike Catholics. (Obviously, I disagree with theology). But why would my not understanding why the Trump administration would want the pope when he’s obviously politically on the left mean I’m anti Catholic? I wouldn’t have expected the Biden administration to invite John MacArthur to their events.
