That said, we make sure keep our group as an inclusive space where everybody feels safe to participate regardless of their ethnicity, gender, religion or political beliefs.

I'm back, and I'm mad. This is how @ChicagoOpen decided to reply to Kelsey Hightower today. I don't know if this account is actually associated with @OpenSourceOrg or not, but this is disgusting behavior.

@lazerwalker Hi @lazerwalker we haven't been hacked, we've been impersonated and we have reported the other account with Twitter. Please help us to report the other account as they're using the OSS name to spread hate which is unacceptable.

It's been brought to our attention that there's an account using our trademarked logo and engaging in abusive behavior. We are not affiliated w/ the account in question & are pursuing remedy. We are committed to fostering a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.

The Open Source Chicago organizers have just reported @ChicagoOpen as an impersonation of our group because it does NOT represent the diversity and inclusion of the Open Source community. Please help us to report the account so the owner stops using our name to incite hate.
