Still not on the Rio Hondo Prep bandwagon… IMO it’s more of a scheme thing. They run it very well, but from what I’ve seen defenses aren’t playing it well on a player technique level. Just keep going underneath blocks and continually losing edges. Losing their square at the 2nd level and getting pried open by good blocking paths. Good play calling timing on play actions as well plus un-disciplined eyes in secondary leading to big passes. This isn’t some magical unsolvable puzzle. It just requires Defenses to be disciplined and consistent.
