@amjonno What is the owners end goal or ambition for the club?

What I see here is what I’ve always seen from the club - 100% total transparency and clarity, some other clubs would do well doing the same… Radcliffe are very fortunate (like a lot of football clubs) to have an excellent owner who puts his own money into the club. A club that’s needed huge infrastructure investment over the last couple of years. A fortune spent on the best pitch in the league. A ground invested in to become NLN compliant ie floodlight upgrades, turnstiles, food kiosks, fan zone etc. A lot of money (clearly) has been invested into the football club - it needed it as it was previously left to rack and ruin. A club budget or club spend is different to what a first team budget is… There’s a saying in business, you have to speculate to accumulate and that’s exactly what the owner has done, again like many other football clubs owners have done. But I’ll repeat, there’s huge difference between a club budget (football club spend) and first team budget… So relax, Jordan Hulme is still the top earner at the club on £300 a week 👍

The group have worked really hard behind the scenes since the last game and glad they could showcase how good they can be. Special mention to Leo as a 19 year old to play like that. On a personal one, it was a complete pleasure taking the team.

@ben_brumby Fair points - it’s so similar to last season when he nailed it. Seasons at this level seem to fluctuate a lot more than other leagues. I think a couple of tweaks, couple of wins and a confidence surge changes it. Get behind him on Saturday. We owe him that.

I don’t care what the ‘official’ attendance says, there absolutely were no more there tonight than against Wythenshawe Town (1,700). When we offer a stream at almost half the price of a match ticket this is the result on Tuesday nights #BuryFC

@CholoShaker Which is fine and I don’t disagree with that, Rammy gave 750 season tickets away this summer to juniors, but they don’t get 750 each week nor do they announce as such. I just think it makes a mockery of our attendances when it’s obvious that they are nowhere near

@ben_brumby Probably have given a lot away. But think that’s sound thinking. You need to cast the net wide - probably need to give away 10 tickets to create 1 committed fan who will come regularly to games when not free. Hopefully a couple of the 10 maintain an interest.

@CholoShaker Yeah maybe you’re right regarding the stream, I can’t see there being hundreds watching it but who knows. I appreciate its the ‘official’ attendance but such large discrepancies point to a lot of ST holders not turning up. I suggest it highlights a significant number given away

@ben_brumby 1500 was decent in the league when we had scope to offer big reductions. To sell that in a week is a pipe dream. 5-8% increase in ST sales will be a good outcome.

For balance, it took 20 days in 2023/24 to sell 1,000 season tickets (on sale 12th June) We have sold 850 in 10 days so far. Hopefully we hit 1,000 by Saturday (day 15) I still think we should have done more to incentivise though, that 850 could have been 1,500. #Buryfc
