We wont run out of gas or oil, whether you'llbe able to afford it is a different subject. The huge lead Graham Planter maintains as a total newcomer -- first over DNC favorite Gov. Janet Mills, now over Susan Collins -- reminds me of Trump's very unpredicted (and at the time inexplicable) huge polling lead in 2015 over standard establishment-backed GOP politicians (Jeb!, Rubio and friends). After Trump mocked McCain's POW status, the Dean of Political Reporting -- Dan Balz of the WPost -- decreed that it would end of Trump's campaign: because he didn't realize that sacred causes and rules of the corporate media (in this case the imperative to revere St. John McCain) wasn't something voters gave a shit about at all. People in Maine have heard all the media-trumpeted scandals about Planter and thus far don't care: they hate the political establishment above all and think what DC insiders in both parties have done is far worse than some off-color mockery about McCain, old tattoos during war, or "sexting." The national media never really came to terms with how their insular affluent DC circle and its various incestuous mores are on an utterly different planet than what most voters care about:
