Last week saw the official inauguration of Climate Parliament #SriLanka 🇱🇰 This marks a crucial step towards tackling #climatechange in the country. The launch of a Regional Parliamentary Forum will also help foster cooperation between climate champions in the whole region.

Participated at the launch event of the Climate Parliament Caucus, Sri Lanka assisted by the Climate Parliament Association of South Asia. I shared the sustainable energy policy plans of the Government, the way forward and the challenges in implementing the policy plans. The Climate Parliament headed by Hon Eran Wickramaratne will be a valuable platform to address the issues of policy making and implementing plans on climate change impact and sustainable energy development.
