#Solar manufacturers are rethinking their strategy. Our members like @Tongwei_Solar are leading—expanding downstream, employing 60,000 people w/ a cutting-edge R&D center in #Chengdu GSC attended #CIPESIC last week to discuss the latest innovations to power the solar industry 🌞

WOW! This company every year produces 126 GW of solar cells = more green energy than all but five nations!☀️☀️☀️ Tongwei Solar is the world´s largest producer of solar cells. Its annual production of green, clean cells places the company after Germany but before Japan in renewable energy production. In less than 1,5 years Tongwei makes more solar cells than all cells installed in the US to date. They make combined fish and solar farms (photo). The founder of the company, Liu Hanyuan, is an untypical Chinese business leader. While some Chinese executives are frankly sometimes boring speakers, he talks like a charismatic American politician and even sing emotional songs inspiring staff and customers (photo). I truly enjoyed being with him and Tongwei in Chengdu. Tongwei Group is the first Solar PV producers to enter the Fortune 500 list. Awesome company! ☀️☀️☀️
