How do you feel at the end of a 5 day Climbing Out residential programme? Daisy, who attended our first programme of the year, sums it up perfectly 💚💛

Tim took part in a 5 day residential programme with us. Since then, he's kept the momentum going by joining Walk & Talk Days, and has now been selected to take part in our follow-on 'Level 2' programme to continue his progress. Keep up the training, Tim! 💚💛

Wet weather made it a challenging programme in the Lake District, but it was awesome to see people come alive, pull together and face up to the challenges. The friendship, camaraderie and support that comes out of the shared experience is something special 💚💛

Huge congratulations to a previous Climbing Out participant on completing an Atlantic row! Nicky, along with Fiona and Heather rowed 3,000 miles across 47 days. Nicky said if it wasn’t for the tools she learnt on her Climbing Out programme she would never have attempted it 💚💛

Our first residential programme of 2026 is off! We're over in the Lake District, spending 5 days providing the tools to help these adults feel empowered following a mental or physical trauma 💚💛 There's more info about what we do on the 'Outdoor Programmes' page on the website

7 years has gone so quickly! It seems 5 minutes ago that we were all wishing Kelda all the best when she set out. Inspirational doesn't even come close to describing this one woman powerhouse 💚💛

It's 7 years since @WoodKelda completed her solo row across the Atlantic and set a World Record as the first para-rower to do it - and it doesn't stop inspiring us! It's not about saying 'I can't', it's about saying 'how can I?' 🙌

Climbing Out aims to empower adults who have encountered a life-changing injury, illness or trauma, who want to move forward in life but don't know how to take the first step. We do this either through our residential core programmes or our online programmes 💚💛

It was wonderful to receive this message from the parents of past participant Megan, who's headed off for 12 months of travelling: “We will be forever grateful for the part you played in supporting her to develop resilience, to see that there was a future and find herself again.”

We are just over a month away from our first programme of 2026, and we can’t wait! Over 5 days, our participants learn the tools to feel empowered to take back control of their mindset & actions following a trauma. By the end, they often tell us the result is life-changing 💚💛
