@CFHSGoTigers with a great road win tonight here on @Cruisin1250 - rally from 15 down to beat Wahlert 63-51. @karisfinley_ led all scorers with 16 but Taylor Vore had 15 and Colbie Bear was HUGE off the bench with 10. Tigers are 16-4 and should all but locked into a top-8 seed.

Her ranking among the top 125-160 players nationally, along with her reputation as a premier defensive talent, highlights her potential for significant impact at the next level. Finley’s defense is her standout attribute. She excels in both switchable and on-ball defensive roles, showcasing the ability to guard multiple positions effectively. Her 3 steals and 1 block per game underscore her knack for disrupting offenses, and her athleticism enables her to recover quickly, contest shots, and rotate defensively. This combination of skills positions her as a high-impact defender who can change the course of a game. Finley’s rebounding stands out for a shooting guard, with 5 rebounds per game reflecting her tenacity and ability to contribute across the board. Her strong positional rebounding skills suggest a good understanding of how to leverage her athleticism and positioning to secure boards, giving her team extra possessions and opportunities to push the pace in transition. Her height and elite athleticism allow her to compete against taller opponents and defend various player types, making her an asset in different defensive schemes. Future Projection •College Impact: Karis Finley has the potential to make an immediate defensive impact at Drake, with the versatility to guard multiple positions and contribute in transition. As she continues to refine her offensive consistency, she could become a significant two-way threat in the Missouri Valley Conference, potentially earning All-Conference honors early in her college career. Conclusion Karis Finley’s blend of elite defense, scoring versatility, and athleticism positions her as one of the premier shooting guards in the 2026 class. Her ability to impact the game on both ends and perform well in multiple roles makes her a complete player who can thrive at the collegiate level. As she continues to grow her game, particularly on offense, she has the potential to be a program-defining player for Drake and a key piece in the team’s future success. Finley’s journey from being a top prospect in Iowa to a standout at Drake University will be closely watched in women’s college basketball. Her development could provide valuable insights into the importance of elite defensive players who also bring a well-rounded offensive game, particularly in a sport that increasingly values versatility and two-way impact. #ThinkingBasketball #IowaElite #Class2026 #EliteDefender #TwoWayPlayer #FutureBulldog #VersatileGuard 🎥: @CourtsideFilms
