@WegoTrack @HDJTrack @CoachLawrenceHC Maybe this will help. Photo 1 is measurements for 200m start. Photo 2, single stagger measurements are in the middle column (800m). So the measurements are close but not identical.

Looking only at Track Events and comparing 3A state qualifiers in 2024 as compared to 2018 (simply because I found the state meet program on my bookshelf) there are 220 more qualifiers this year! To what do we attribute this? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

@HDJTrack @Ray_Lewis67 @CoachLawrenceHC If your finish line and 200m start line are symmetrically placed it would be the same stagger. is that not generally universal?

@WegoTrack @Ray_Lewis67 @CoachLawrenceHC To flip the 200 correctly, you should have actual 200 start lines which are not the same as a one turn stagger start line.

@Ray_Lewis67 @CoachLawrenceHC Are your 200 meter start lines not exactly midpoint of your “big triangles” in the 4x1? Assuming it’s not repainted to the new 30m zones yet.

@WegoTrack @CoachLawrenceHC I don’t think so because the 4x4 exchange zone measures 200m from the midpoint to the finish line in Lane 1 assuming all lanes make a perfect diagonal cut to lane 1. So 200m start as you described, would be increasingly shorter than 200m from lane 2 to lane 8

@Ray_Lewis67 @CoachLawrenceHC The midpoint of the first 4x4 exchange to lane one 200m start extended would be 200 meters. Can’t we just measure 10 meters in and draw a line if you don’t have them painted.

@WegoTrack @CoachLawrenceHC Reversing the 200 can be challenging. You can only use single turn stagger start lines for 200 if your track is a very specific proportion. Our track has sweeping turns so even though we have the 200 finish, we lack the 200r start
