With 4 weeks left... Here's where I think the NBA MVP race sits: 1- SGA 2- Luka 3- Wemby 4- Jokic 5- Cade Luka vs Wemby is thisclose and could flip multiple times over last month. But SGA is going to (and deserves to) win, and Luka has clearly played his way into the Top 3.

RE: Lakers & 3 seed. If they sweep their games against the 5 tankers (IND, WSH, BK, DAL, UTA) and just go *2-6* in their other 8 (MIA, ORL, DET, CLE, OKCx2, GS, PHX) that puts them at 51 wins. So, to catch them: HOU has to go 11-3, Denver 10-4, MIN 9-3. They're gonna be the 3

The only reason Luka doesn’t lead the league in EFG percentage is he shoots all the Lakers end of shot clock attempts. He seriously shoots like 4 or 5 of them a game.

Buddy, you’re getting frustrated cuz you’re losing an argument. The first sign of knowing you lost is when you stop giving logical facts and start spazzing out like a child. Im gonna be nice and help you before I go… No one uses FG percentage to determine efficiency. It’s not 1980. They use EFG. It combines 2s and 3s to show an accurate representation of efficiency. Steph Curry had a bad FG percentage but an all time great EFG. It factors in 3’s. We can all agree Steph is good at shooting. But FG percentage says he’s bad. That’s why in modern ball no one uses that anymore. SGA’s EFG was below league average until he got. Super team built around him for the last 3 seasons. You can do your own research. I'll dispense with the blind poll this time, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's numbers are simply better. I'm starting to think Luka Dončić might be able to make up the gap in other ways before the end of the season, though.

SGA was always below league average efficiency until he got a super team around him. Then he could start picking his spots more selectively. It’s always been that way with basketball. The more weapons around you the less you have to force shots. SGA is great and efficiency is nice. But it doesn’t tell the whole picture. If it did then Rudy Gobert should be MVP cuz he’s good at defense and leads the league in EFG. Being 3% behind SGA is nothing for a guy who carries such a huge load and takes all those shots I previously mentioned. Giving a guy MVP for being more efficient is very weak. But if that’s what you wanna go by then Jokic should win it cuz he’s more efficient than SGA.

He gets .1 more steal than Shai so surely your not talking about that as something going for Luka cause if then argue shai get .2 more blocks than Luka

1. Shai is 3% higher EFG. That’s only because Luka shoots all his teams last second shots that will be missed most of the time. So not giving Luka MVP because he shoots 35 footers at the end of a possession is dumb 2. Luka accounts for 7 more points per game than SGA. 3. Points, rebounds, assists and steals are important in basketball lol. So we’re gonna give SGA MVP over Luka for not shooting end of shot clock attempts? That’s the case yall are using?

MVP literally means most valuable player. OKC without SGA would still be top 6 team. Lakers without Luka would be a play in team at best. Idk how you can make the argument SGA is more valuable to his team. I understand you want to reward winning but the NBA has lost the plot here
