@AndrewTWalker This is great, but how many abortion pills are being mailed to Kentucky from outside the state?

Louisville’s abortion mill (and the last in Kentucky) has been demolished. Praise God. What belongs on its grounds is a memorial to the over 100,000 lives taken within its ghoulish walls. baptistpress.com/resource-libra…

Among Catholic priests who were ordained in the late 1960s: 68% describe their theology as progressive. 16% said it was conservative. Among priests ordained in the last few years: 2% describe their theology as progressive. 84% said it was conservative.

about Butler PA: to believe that it was not staged requires a suspension of disbelief/skepticism beyond what is required to believe it; there are arguments pro & con, but pro (staged) arguments are more numerous. however, there are contrary arguments, that it was not staged, that are plausible, too. but so many questions unanswered.

contrary to my tweets on this fraught subject, I don't really have strong feelings about it; my interest has always been the credulousness/gullibility of (some) fellow Americans. how/why do they believe what they do, often fiercely, when there is no evidence to support their beliefs; or, in the case of Butler PA, much to question honestly, objectively. it is a longtime fascination with human personality, the "stories we tell ourselves."

well, I am hardly the only one. this entire thread of postings is 10-1. anti-T***p, questioning the "assassination attempt"-- count them. seems as if MAGA is shaking loose of its cult unity.

America's reading problem, explained as if it were sports: Imagine every 8-year-old in the country gets assigned to the same baseball team. 30 kids per coach. The kid who's been swinging since he was 4 and the kid who just picked up a bat yesterday are in the same drill, at the same tempo, getting the same cues. Nobody gets evaluated. Nobody gets a personalized plan. The coach runs one practice for everyone and moves on when the clock runs out, not when the players get it. Some kids are already bored. Some are lost. Most are faking it. This goes on for 12 years. Six hours a day. Every day. At the end, we hold a combine. Only a 1 in 3 of the players can make contact. The rest swing and miss at pitches they should've learned to hit in T-ball. The league's answer? Raise the coaching budget 36%. That's American reading. Per-pupil spending is up 35.8% since 2002, inflation-adjusted. Adults stuck at the lowest literacy level climbed from 19% to 28%. More money in. Worse hitters out.

Notice what @DavidAFrench never references in his willingness to treat Talarico as a true Christian brother. And that is what scripture says. Talarico says God is nonbinary and has denied the exclusivity of Christ as the only means to eternal life. French is in clear disobedience by treating Talarico as a Christian. —1 Corinthians 5:11–13, But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one…God judges those outside. ‘Purge the evil person from among you.’ —2 Thessalonians 3:6, In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. —2 Thes 3:13-14, Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed. (Also, this is a repost so that people can see the video).

.@realDailyWire asked me to expand my analysis of the Allie Beth Stuckey-David French debate into a full column: The avowed atheist Friedrich Nietzsche would have no problem calling Talarico a non-Christian because of the orthodox doctrines that Talarico rejects. Why can’t David French? dailywire.com/news/allie-bet…

@AndrewTWalker @conservmillen @realDailyWire Because David's gospel is the gospel of good manners. Unless you're a Christian who votes your worldview, then shame on you and your "cruelty".

Kudos to Allie. @DavidAFrench-bashing has become a kind of cottage industry on this website. She actually sat down with him and had a conversation. That’s commendable. Good for David, too. Don’t always agree with him, but he’s more willing to debate than many of his detractors.
Allie Beth Stuckey@conservmillen

In one of his two NYT articles critiquing my book “Toxic Empathy,” David French claims that I argue against feeling badly for dying children. I push back against that complete mischaracterization. In response, French asserts: “I have seen you online, when people talk about the plight of others, you bring up toxic empathy.” “Can you give me an example of that?”

You give him too much credit. Nothing of intellectual substance in his 20+ books (I read 3), just recycling ideas from different sources that make it seem like he's bound to no specific ideology which can be easily identified from his lack of nuance in socioeconomic topics. The man disproves the existence of systemic advantages that favor a specific ethnicity, with all the documented evidence available and yet people still call him an intellectual lol. Thomas Sowell is an educated man, but he is not an intelligent man.

Thomas Sowell gets it: He's 94 years old and has never held political office, never had a viral moment, never begged for your attention. He just wrote 30 books, spent 50 years dismantling bad ideas with data, and let the work speak. No green room. No cable news contract. No ideology to sell you. While academics were chasing grants and politicians were chasing polls, Sowell was in the library proving them all wrong. The most dangerous intellectual in America isn't the loudest one. It's the one who doesn't need you to agree with him.
