Because I want to be transparent and stand by my work that I’ve done in this industry for almost a decade now, I gave Nick Suzuki a first-place vote for Hart. The Hart’s criteria is the “most valuable player to his team.” Yes Habs have rising talent, but Suzuki had a 100+ point season, was the league’s top defensive forward and they don’t make the run they did and turn into a legit team to watch without him. That said, the ballots altogether were by no means easy this year. I’m confident enough in my vote and have integrity, so I’m more than happy to share my explanation with you all and have it out there.

Some rumours about Mason McTavish potentially being on the move (MTL?). He's still young and has some promising small-area skill, but his lack of footspeed, defensive involvement, and limited time with the puck are all red flags.

@habsnation51 @JFreshHockey He's slow and he's bad. At some point it stops being everyone else's fault that he's not living up to his potential and it's just that he's never really been that good to begin with. Just a big guy who's shown flashes. This is the same situation as Dach.

Like, Pronman has Mutryn 14 and Gudmundsson 23 with average or below average everything but high compete, and their player comps are a third line winger and a bottom pair D Villeneuve and Bleyl are out of the first round with above average everything but below average compete

My favourite thing with Pronman is when he rates players as having bad everything but elite compete and then randomly ranks them super high, or the inverse. Even if we could perfectly assess compete, you should not be putting guys high if *You* think their skills and IQ are bad
