Great illustration of how simplistic the libertarian understanding of economics is. For Peter, inflation simply has to always be central bank driven and downstream of "money printing."
An oil shock is the classic case of cost-push inflation because it raises production costs across the entire economy, but libertarians believe in a fantasy where producers perfectly respond to falling demand signals and absorb the hit.
They just redefine "real" inflation so narrowly that supply shocks are natural "price increases," then blame any broader rise on the inevitable policy response.

Rising oil prices won't cause higher inflation. More expensive oil means Americans will have less money to spend on other things. Reduced spending will cause a recession, which will result in larger budget deficits, rate cuts, and QE. That's what will cause higher inflation.

@Lisaelizabeth I called some friends in the air force. What you heard was the sonic boom of a fighter jet that took off out of Dover that was flying to Pa to tail possible Drone sighting but nothing was officially identified so maybe it put its after burners on close to your neighborhood

So about an hour ago I heard 2 insanely loud explosions, pretty spaced out. They didn’t sound like gunshots and they certainly didn’t sound like fireworks. Apparently all of South Philly called the police. Police went looking around and said it was likely fireworks, but there was no way. People heard it for like a 20 block radius. It shook my house. So I go on the Citizen app and people are saying maybe it was a meteor. I thought that sounded ridiculous until I listened to the sound of a meteor entering the earths atmosphere and that’s what it sounded like! Now I feel like I’m going crazy.

For those interested, a few feedback points to add to @SirSilverQuack rebuttal... If I came across blunt, fair enough.. I’m Dutch. But my point was never personal. It was about the mismatch between very bullish engagement and a structure that, to me, still looked weak.
Funny enough, neither he nor @potassium_phd really addressed the actual structure I posted. That is usually a tell in itself. Most of the pushback was around tone, not the chart...
My read remains simple: one bounce at support does not erase broader damage. Read both sides, use your own brain, and decide for yourself...

$SILVER Sorry you feel this way, mate... It was never personal, but since you decided to make it personal, let’s deal with the actual points. First: where exactly is this supposed “multi-week higher-low structure”? There is no clean higher-low reclaim here. What I see is lower highs, a break of structure, and then a support bounce that people are dressing up as invalidation. That is not "real analysis"; that is over-interpreting one reaction candle... Second: Where exactly did I “dodge invalidation”? I did quite the opposite... My whole point was that people were victory-lapping engagement and one bounce while ignoring the bigger structure. A bounce at support does not magically erase a deteriorating chart. Third: you cannot have it both ways. Either price has already reclaimed structure convincingly, or this is still just a reaction inside a weakening setup. Right now, it looks a lot more like the latter. So no, I was not reducing it to “just a random bounce"... I am saying that one bounce does not override broader damage, and that remains true. I would not be surprised at all if those confidence levels need revising over the next few days...
