@BillArnoldTeach Yeah, a written document intended to record permanent apostolic authority would have been foolish. Good thing they didn't do that.

Why was the Bible written? What is written to be the Sole Authority? Was it written to replaced the church established by Christ Himself??? Bible Alone was NEVER the Plan💧

@LivingGodsTruth The Holy Spirit could have made your response a lot shorter saying, just one time, you are "justified by faith alone."

Don't confuse what James is saying in James 2:24, that a man is justified by his works and not faith alone, with justification in salvation. James is clearly saying, and even giving examples with the patriarchs, that a man is shown to be righteous (justified) by his works, which is a result of his faith if it is indeed authentic. The Bible clearly communicates salvation is by faith in the perfect and finished work of Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Not in any works of fallen men. Ephesians 2:8–9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Romans 3:28 "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law." Galatians 2:16 "...nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified." Romans 5:1 "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 4:4–5 "Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness." Faith is a gift of grace from God and the foundation of authentic salvation which leads to authentic God glorifying works. The works display that the faith is complete (James 2:24). If we truly have put our faith in Christ and been born again, we will live out what we believe.

How many times does the phrase "faith alone" appear in the Bible? And what specifically does the Bible say about "faith alone"?
