It is therefore astonishing to read (all be it in synopsis) that ‘work environment’ is not a topic of discussion for training/awareness for those working in such a high stress environment

@hsib_org @Laurapickup1 Really interesting article, to clarify is it really the case that the NHS can procur key equipment for use … possibly in Theatre/ICU/CCU etc … without compliance with recognised national/international standards including UCD/HumanFactors standards?… if so this is astonishing!

FYI healthcare - Human Factors is NOT a synonym for non-technical skills. Human factors is a discipline looking at people, environment and technology and how they interact. This may include nontechnical skills, but to use the terms as equivalents is incorrect.
