The centre is still in negotiations with the NSW Health Minister, Ryan Park to secure a transition and then a permanent site. The proponents are urging the state to make a decision as soon as possible to ensure the trauma recovery centre can open before the end of the year.

'A Government TD is calling for an inquiry into what he describes as the “very serious State-authorised abuse" of mothers who have lost custody of their children after alleging domestic abuse by former partners...They have been accused of “parental alienation” in family law courts, and deemed to be abusive parents. He describes “parental alienation” as a “pseudo condition without scientific basis”.
