The reason many people do not classify Mormonism as Christian is not because it mentions Jesus, but because it teaches a fundamentally different Jesus, a different God, and a different gospel than the one revealed in Scripture.
Historic Christianity teaches one eternal God in three Persons (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19), that Jesus is the eternal Creator (John 1:1-3; Col. 1:16), and that salvation is by grace through faith apart from works (Eph. 2:8-9). Mormonism teaches that God was once a man, that humans can become gods, that Jesus is a created being and spirit-brother of Lucifer, and that exaltation involves temple ordinances and works.
The issue isn't whether a group uses Christian terminology. Paul warned that people could preach "another Jesus" and "a different gospel" (2 Cor. 11:4; Gal. 1:6-9). By the historic and biblical definitions of Christianity, Mormon theology falls outside orthodox Christian belief.
That's why Jehovah's Witnesses and Latter-day Saints are often listed separately from Christian denominations on government and census forms (they should not be listed as Christians here). The distinction is doctrinal, not personal.

A dead giveaway that someone has never read the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ- is when they say that members of the Church of Jesus Christ (known as Latter-day Saints) aren't Christians.
You cannot read the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ- and come up with that conclusion.

My favorite thing Mormons do is follow a prophet who claimed all Christian churches are apostate and then complain that all these apostate Christian churches won't include them in the Christian club.

@RepMikeKennedy This sums it up well, Congressman. LDS folks are nice people. Good Americans. As lovingly as I can say, you’re not Christians. You’re just not. I know you say you are. But that doesn’t make it so. Mormonism rejects basics tenets of Christianity. That’s not mean. It’s truth.

On Nature of Jesus: please help us understand does LDS teaching say, as Christians hold, he is eternally divine, the uncreated 2nd person of the Trinity, fully God & fully man? Or Jesus is the firstborn spirit child of God the Father (a spirit brother to humans), who progressed to divinity?

🇺🇸 🇨🇳 IT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT CHINA! - Here's what the left, the media, and the panicans on the right don't understand about Iran. They didn't understand this about Venezuela either.
This is not just about Iran and Venezuela. This is about China. By taking out Venezuela and now Iran, President Trump has choked off China's access to energy. China cannot grow their hegemony without energy!
And now Chairman Xi is meeting with Trump and our top CEOs to create new partnerships and saying we should be partners and not foes.
This isn't because Chairman Xi is suddenly a nice guy. This is because Trump has created leverage by limiting their access to energy.
Not only won't we have a nuclear Iran to worry about, we won't have a Chinese hegemony in the western world to worry about either.
Trump is brilliant and the left are basically short-sighted idiots.

Just a reminder: Mormonism is not Christian because it rejects the Christian understanding of the Godhead: One God in Three Persons. (There are other reasons, too, but that makes the whole discussion a non-starter.)

It really seems strange to me that in the latest ballot dump, the third-place finisher would far and away get the most votes.
Statistically improbable if not impossible.
Assuming a lot of mail-in ballots would go to the Democrats; then Karen Bass, as the first-place winner, should have gotten most of the votes. She's running ten points ahead now of Raman.
And yet by some miracle of magic math Raman got significantly more votes than Karen Bass!
Also coincidentally Raman is the one that needs the most votes to catch up to Pratt.
So yeah basically this whole thing is bullsh*t.

It’s sickening to watch Democrats who screamed “Believe All Women” and lionized Christine Blasey Ford — despite zero corroboration — now dismiss allegations against Graham Platner simply because she’s a Republican .
Ford got the Time cover, CBS, The View. A conservative woman gets a character assassination.

The Chicago Bears managed to stay in Chicago despite the 1929 Great Depression, WWII, and the 2008 financial crisis, but they couldn't survive two incompetent Democratic leaders in Illinois and now they are moving next door to the Republican run red state of Indiana!
